The Official TTC Thread!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

9DPO: triphasic chart. But I had a BFN triphasic chart two cycles ago, so who knows.

clairitek - I hope that your DH is ok and that you managed to catch the egg!

pancake - Still no AF?

He's still a little sore but doing much better today. If things were twisted around they're back to normal now it seems. I'm not sure how I will ever survive the wait now. I really wish I knew what day I ovulated or will ovulate so I can start the countdown. I only have three FRERs so I definitely can't test early. I'm going to chart next month if we don't catch the egg this month.

Only one more sleep until you test, Anchor! I'll be over here crossing everything!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Claritek, hoping you guys were spot on with the BDing. Glad to hear your DH is OK, and I can imagine that would've been really scary. I found charting was great to positively confirm your O day, so I really liked charting when I had the ability to do it. It's been a crapshoot post kiddo.

Anchor, still hopeful for you m'dear :) And pregnancy is a luck game too, so I'm hoping you guys got lucky this go round.

Pancake, AF show up?

AFM: not much. I hazard a guess that I'll O sometime this weekend, so I'll endeavor to get some BDing in the next few days. My guess is Tgiving Thursday will be shot from too much food consumption, so my aim is every other or every 3 days. No signs of EWCM, or libido shifts, so still waiting...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Clairitek - pain from the testes is felt in the lower abdomen/pelvic area, typically. It might have been something around the testis rather than the testis itself? There is a thing called the hydatid of Morgagni (or the testicular appendage) that can also become twisted and cause pain, although I don't know how common that is in adult men, we do see it in kids though. Hope your spot-on BDing has results!

Anchor - test already!!!

LC - go easy on yourself - you know, you only need one diligent spermie to make it all happen ;)

AFM - AF has just arrived, HALLELUJAH! I was starting to wonder what the hell my body was doing... so looking back now, assuming a 14 day LP, I must have ovulated AFTER I had the EWCM and O pains, which probably meant that we had our whoops about 24h (give or take) after the fact. That makes that cycle 36 days, the previous one 35, hopefully it will stay thereabouts and not get longer

Anyway, I am now armed with a BBT thermometer for this cycle and I think I'll chuck some OPK pee sticks into the mix as well. Can't help it, it's the scientist in me!

Pancake, welcome to the dark side. It's a slippery slope :)

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

BFN, but no temp dip. Testing again on Friday if AF hasn't shown up.

pancake - Sorry about AF... I hope next cycle is the one!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Morning, ladies.

Pancake, LOL, you're firmly on the TTC wagon now! Hope you have good luck with temping etc. I loved charting it was so fun. But I'm a total nerd in that respects. I hope your cycle doesn't get any longer either. And hey, we'll be long cycle buddies together. :)

AMC, glad you're back from your cruise :) From the toddler thread, sounds like you had a great time. You should be coming up on your O in a little bit, right?

Anchor, Hmm... no AF and no temp dip are still good signs. How many DPO are you? 10? I think that still might be a bit early. Still hopeful for you.

AFM: Holy smokes I drank a LOT last night. Was out with friends and it was a combo going away party for my sis and her BF, so late night and a lot of booze. I was *completely* useless this morning with Ethan. I feel a touch guilty, but Ethan was so trying the past two days and I had to bear the brunt of it, so I don't feel *that* guilty. We'll see if DH is annoyed with me or not. If he is, might not get any BDing in. Also I haven't noticed any EWCM, so pretty sure I'm not Oing anytime soon.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Spotting. TCOYF says it could be implantation spotting. We'll see...

LC - Yes, 10DPO today. Still early.

Thanks! I'm on CD 8 and should O in about a week. I guess it's time to get on it :)

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

12DPO: BFN + temp dip. Oh well. AF should be here today or tomorrow, I think. :|

I've heard great things about the Fertilitea, I'll order some. I'm due for my annual checkup in December, and since it'll be our 6th month TTCing, I'll ask about what we can do to help things along. When I had my right ovary removed last May, my surgeon said she suspects I may suffer from endometriosis, but it was hard to tell if the scar tissue was actual endometriosis or adhesions from the ovarian rupture and a surgery I had as an infant. It's so strange to get pregnant on the first go with my son and then go through all this!

Edit: Oh, and BIL called to say that he and his GF are expecting. I didn't understand how people couldn't just be happy at this sort of news before, but now I'm starting to.

Oh anchor I'm sorry! Double whammy today between the temps and news. I hope your doctor has some insight for you at your appointment.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Yep, AF showed up this afternoon. Cycle 6.

Thanks clairitek.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Anchor, I'm sorry that AF showed up again. I know a few ladies tried Fertilitea when during my 1st go round on this thread, so hopefully it'll be useful. I did acupuncture on my first go round with success. Hoping your doc will be able to help you guys.

AFM: EWCM today. Going to hit up some lovin' from DH and see how far I get.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Good luck LC! Thanks for the tip, I think I'll call my acunpuncturist.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hey ladies, I found myself kind of moseying on over to see if I recognized anyone posting here and I do so I thought I would see if anyone minded if I posted here...The bump just, eh, isn't really doing it for me.

We've been ttc our second for almost 2 years now. In September, I finally got in to see a decent RE (my obgyn had tried to write me off with just having low progesterone when in my fact my levels were completely normal. So anyways, when I went in to see my new (and amazing!) RE we discovered that not only did I have endometriosis, I also had PCOS with insulin resistance as well. I was put on Metformin and about 2 weeks ago I had a laproscopy to remove the endo. They found it all over my right ovary and also on my right broad ligament. My left ovary was attached to my pelvis and my pelvis was filled with adhesions from when my appendix was removed 26 years ago ( :nono: ). We also had a SA done for DH and the numbers came back fantastic so that isn't our issue, pretty much just me. We're hoping to finally get our bfp this month after going through all of this!

It's so strange because it only took us 7 months to conceive our first son and without any knowledge of any issues as well...

Anyways, sorry for the novel, hope it's ok if I post :))

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Anchor: Sorry to hear about AF. Acupuncture can help with relaxation, if nothing else, and you know what annoying non-TTCers always say... "Just relax and it will happen!"

LC: Good luck with gettin' some! Let us know when you think you o'd.

Claritek: Glad to hear your hubby is feeling better. Did you ever find out what was amiss? My DH experienced something similar right around the time I was due to give birth to Ellie- we nearly headed to the ER. We never found out what was wrong though

RT: Sorry to hear about all the struggles you two have faced- good luck with this cycle!

AFM: AF has made her exit and I'm waiting to O. CD 9 now, will start testing CD 12, expecting to O around CD 17. We really haven't been BDing very much, so I'm hoping to initiate some lovin' pre-O, so my poor hubby doesn't feel like I'm using him for his swimmers. Holidays = stress... and our move = stress. And stress is bad for sex!The good news is we listed our home last Saturday, and the first person who walked through made an offer. We went under contract Sunday afternoon, and the inspection was Wednesday. It took SEVEN HOURS. Insane. And we still haven't heard anything, which makes me super nervous. Send lucky real estate vibes my way, if you have the time or desire! ::)

LC- hope you were able to take advantage of your window!

RT- welcome back! I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty you've been having ttc your second child. I hope the laproscopy does the trick for you. That's horrible that your gyno was so off base with the diagnosis. Glad you switched to a good new doctor.

PPM- no idea what caused the pain. He's been fine since thankfully. Congrats on getting an offer so quickly! I hope the silence on the buyers end means that they're happy with the state of the house. I've missed where you're moving to. I know you're in CO now (at least last I knew!) I hope you're able to find a spare moment in a week or less to get something going with this cycle.

AFM- CD20 and I think I'm 6DPO. This evening my bbs started feeling a little fuller and a bit sore (normally am sore before af but this would be very early even for me and my fairly short cycles). I've been hanging on every twinge, pinch, and poke in my lower abdomen today. I'm sure you all can relate to that. I plan to test on Wednesday at the earliest now. I have a big week at work and I haven't decided testing before a big meeting on Thursday will be good or not. But we all know I'm going to obsess over it anyway.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hi ladies! Hope you are all doing well. I'm on CD13 and expect to O in the next couple of days. My OPK yesterday was totally blank (just a hit of a test line) and today was about 75% of the control line. EWCM showed up yesterday as well. We BD'd last night and I've told DH we need to do today, tomorrow, and probably the next day as well. According to FF, the most successful timing is when it is done at O-2, O-1, and O day. With B we BD'd on ) day plus O-1 and O-3, so I'm hoping to get the same timing down. I've been trying to temp but have only managed 4 temps the entire cycle. My temp dropped this morning so that's another indication that O is on its way.

Now, I've been thinking about if I get a BFP....AF would be due around the 19th. I was considering telling DH that AF came and then surprising him on Christmas. Thoughts? Not sure if I'd be able to keep the secret for that long though...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Anchor, hope you have luck with acupuncture. And like PPM said, at the very least it'll help you relax and you can rock some AWESOME naps. I did community acupuncture which is a little easier on the wallet than private acupuncture.

PPM, Holy fast home sales, batman! That's AWESOME! I'm really glad you are happy with the offer you received. :) Sending you happy house dust. Good luck testing out your surge and getting some pre-O action too.

Welcome RT. Hoping you get more answers soon.

Claire, LOL obsessing about symptoms etc. Hey don't feel like you're crazy, we've all been/will be there at some point. If you have a important meeting on Thurs, I'd say don't test until after your meeting. If you get a BFN, you'll likely be a little bummed. And if you get a BFP your mind will NOT be on work... at all. That's what I was like.

AMC, wow, missy, not sure if I'd have it in me to hold out on telling my DH for 6 days. LOL, i was the same way with temping last cycle. I thikn I got a little bit better traction than just 4 data points, but it was still pretty piss poor.

AFM: not much to add. I did manage to get some BDing in on Fri with my EWCM sighting. Also again last night. Not sure if we'll try again tonight or not, I guess it depends on DH. We were in bed and were talking about having another kid, and how I feel it's goign to take a long time because of my long cycles. Dude, men know NOTHING about getting pregnant. It's kinda funny and makes me shake my head at the same time.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

LC- We are cycle buddies I guess since we should both be Oing soon. Yay! Yeah I don't know if I would be able to do it....but it could be fun. I will see.

I hit up some cyber Monday deals on the diapers.com family of sites (they have a distribution center where I live so I get orders the following day)...got a bunch of toys and such. Wouldn't you know it, their drug store affiliated site carries 3 packs of FRERs for $14. Not a steal, but free shipping and no tax....so I have 6 tests headed my way :) Plus the added benefit of them being added to a Christmas shopping order so DH won't even know I bought them. It's really shocking how much I love peeing on stuff.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

AMC, I think I'll be just ahead of you, expecting AF mid next week if not sooner. So I'm likely on the TWW now, but we'll see what happens. If I don't get AF by next weekend, I'll test. But not feeling very optimistic this cycle.

Let's be realistic, I'll probably be testing next weekend too...you know, at around 9DPO. :naughty:

Look what I just got...and I never pull a line at night. Guessing it will be truly positive in the morning.

Good luck, AMC!

LC- glad you were able to find a moment with your DH to work in that second baby!

Hello, my name is Clairitek and despite claiming that I didn't want to start testing early so I wouldn't buy internet cheapies I have peed on two OPKs in hours that is get a totally not legitimate HPT and of course I learned nothing. On the plus side my bbs are definitely getting more sore. No other symptoms, though. Trying to hold off on testing as long as possible.

Bam!

That's one positive opk!

God I hate autocorrect. What I was trying to say earlier was that I used two opks as hpts after reading about that online in hopes that I might learn something earlier than I would with my frer. But either the exercise was useless or I'm not pregnant.

I took an OPK when I was pregnant and didn't even get a line. I know it works for some people but I'm not one of them. How many DPO are you? You wouldn't get a + on an OPK any early than on a real test.

I'm 8 DPO. And thanks for letting me know about your own experience with an opk as an hpt.

Oh it's worse than that. I peed on an OPK yesterday morning and night.
