I''m doing a saturday fly-by to post this clip from the 1950s. Now, THIS is romantic! They really knew what love meant, back then.

If only our boyfriends/fiances/husbands were this romantic.

I''d actually be pretty happy if FI told me that being his wife is "work" enough!

Ugh...just saw this right after watching "Mona Lisa Smile"....anyone seen that movie?

FF''s response: Wow. That''s pretty ****ed.

AWWWW! That was so sweet

I wonder if he bought her a beautiful pie plate instead of an e-ring?

Wrong... on so many levels!

Or any day.

Now that she''s said yes, GET TO THE KITCHEN WOMAN!

I have no words...

I showed it to BF and after he stopped laughing hysterically, he told me that's how he'll propose.

Which is funny because if it happens when I think it will, I won't have a job and he won't make enough money to support us...

It''s ok, Freke--being his wife will be all the work you need!

Truer words have never been spoken...The man creates messes just by stepping a foot into the room.

Wow! SO romantic!

If my fiance ever said something like that to me I would most likely dump him on the spot!

I think it''s pretty neat for that time period and honestly, I''d take it over most of the Sex and the City type junk that''s out there now. Then again, my friends call me a prude and a Stepford Wife.

Nah. I''d be "OK" with quitting. I''d start working freelance from home :)

Haha funny clip...I think I''d be more okay with him saying, "Now that we''re engaged feel free to quit your job and be my full-time wife!" instead of quitting my job for me. Just imagine if that was even possible - calling someone''s boss and quitting their job for them! This was extra funny because the rerun of Grey''s was on last night where Christina tells Burke they will both be rich so they''ll hire a wife because she''s not going to give up being a surgeon for their marriage.

Oh, but remember...he didn''t quit her job. He got her fired.

I would smack the living daylights out of BF if he said that. Which is why I''m never showing him this clip, because he''d say it just to be funny/annoy me.

Haha I guess I should''ve watched the clip more closely...I admit when I heard him say something about her not working anymore because he wanted to marry her my listening ears turned off! I agree I would smack my SO too!
