I''d like to share my suite of pink ladies from BB, his stones are truly like potato chips...you can''t have just 1

1st pic from L to R: 1.23ct Tourmaline, 1.81ct Tourmaline, 1.27 Umbalite Garnet (both of the Tourmalines are from Mozambique although very different in color)

gorgeous stones, I''m loving your umba...hmmmm you got me thinking.. are the colors pretty true IRL? i find my mozambique tourmaline from Barry just doesn''t like camera all too well.

Everything except the Umbalite has a plan/home. The smaller Tourmaline will be replacing a sapphire in a swirly diamond baguette mounting I posted on another thread (ring makeover in progress thread), the larger light pink Tourmaline will be going into a classic, 3stone DeBeers setting (18k white gold) w/diamond sides. The 3 stone DeBeers is going to be my birthday project and should hopefully be complete in less than a month. I''m waiting on a bonus to pay for the sidestones and then it''s a go! I had big plans for the Umbalite and truly love this stone but it''s too small

I wear a size 8 ring and so smaller stones sort of disappear on me, I took it to Jared''s (yuck I know) last wknd and popped it into a few halo mountings but it still looked too small for my taste. I''m hoping Barry will cut another Umba soon, I missed out on the 8.5mm whopper last week.

Thanks D&T yes the colors in my pics are true to life, I took them under our covered patio. They're all absolute fireballs in the sun!

The Umba is my 2nd fave (big tourm = my #1) because it's got purple flashes and reminds me of a pink/purple sapphire an acquaintance of mine owns. It holds its color very well and never goes peach or brown which is an added bonus. I really really want a bigger one and find myself refreshing Barry's site ever few hours every night hoping to see another.

every time I talk to Barry,,, he''s always got another rough that he thinks I might like after I tell him I''m going to start looking for so and so, I then have to just say NO to Barry otherwise, all my paycheck will go to his gems.

I know exactly what you mean D&T, I've been so busy collecting pinks that I haven't even had a chance to move on to the gorgeous blue/green tourms he has. I barely found his site a couple months ago and haven't been the same since!

While the Barry pink tourmaline is pretty, the umbalite catches my eye in all your pictures. I guess the stronger colour pulls the eye towards it more easily than pastels.
