The Pricescope Hall of Fame - Iconic Pricescope jewelry

@Mreader - if it fits the brief of this thread, pls feel free to add it!

This thread is to compile trends that developed specifically on PS, PriceScope 'firsts', or pieces that people might consider the best examples of their kind. Anything you see that fits that brief belongs here, and can be added by anyone!

^ Oof -- too intimidating!

And the breathtaking Ruby and diamond ring that Sako created for @elizat

@Mreader aw, thanks! I think she's a lovely ring for certain. I really enjoy wearing her!

The ring that led me to Leon Mege was Reena's gorgeous haloed cushion and Leon's pave work. There are many, many beautiful stones and rings on PS. Impossible to choose. But Reena's ring will always be one of my fav. Reena.jpeg

Well, here's a fairly self-congratulatory entry, and I freely admit it! But there's nothing like this on the Hall of Fame thread, and precious little on PS in general, so here we are.

This is Joy - my custom made enamel bracelet - 18kt gold, hand enameled and made by David Klass Jewelry. Most of the pieces are solid and the enamel is bright and cheery, representing some major loves in my life, and most of all, my passion for color. Joy was designed and constructed over a three year period and took more tweaks and reworks than any piece I've ever done. She was well worth it tho, and I definitely consider her to be an heirloom piece of art.

Is she iconic? That's for others to decide. But she's unique for sure, and has a very special place in my heart. :))

NB The oval and the rectangle have a different color on each side and each contain a small, warm, OEC. I toyed with the idea of a diamond clasp, but ultimately felt it would take away from the wearability of it.

This is a really cool piece!

Mrs B, do you have a favorite charm? Or, because each is sentimental, is that like asking which is your favorite child?

Just as a casual onlooker, I'm really drawn to the lemon.

If you didn't post her, I would have! Joy is the epitome of iconic. And all things wonderful.

Thank you for saying that, @Dandi. <3

I felt a bit funny posting her, but there really is such a limited selection of enamel on PS, and nothing with as *much* enamel as Joy has. I've been curating this thread for years at this point, so I figure it's my choice what goes in here or not - so Joy got a starting guernsey - altho I still felt a bit odd doing it. I think she deserves it, tho. :))

She absolutely does! Don't feel strange posting her, she is so widely adored, so really, you're doing the PS community a service

On May 2nd, 2021, @HS4S_2 posted a truly glorious ring. PriceScopers have been looking at gorgeous 3 stone diamond rings for as long as PS has been in existence, but three stone rings with colored sides are a much rarer beast.

So when HS4S_2 posted a stunning 2.16ct N colored OEC with almost 2ctw of OEC cut emeralds, set in a jaw-dropping Sierra setting by Caysie van Bebber, it was a sight to behold! A modern setting with a reverential nod to the past, HS4S_2's new ring combines all the best aspects of design, balance and style!

(...and just to add...that engraving!! Swoooon!)

Iconic indeed.

Thank you so much! Your Jewelery is amazing so it feels extra special that you put this here!

I love this thread! I wanted to post @MakingTheGrade ‘s Fancy Grey MOP pin/pendant . She posted it soon after I joined PS and I think it's a work of art!

@junebug17 ’s gorgeous Leon Mege ring belongs in this thread. It’s
beautiful, elegant and feminine. Perfection!!!

Agreed! And it's an excellent example of tapered French cuts and the magic that can happen when old cuts and modern cuts are set together sympathetically.

Gorgeous!

This is one great thread @mrs-b.

I’d like to add one!

This is the ring that made me fall in love with old cuts, and one of the reasons I stuck around on PS. @EC8 and the most divine Miss M.

This is truly my favorite ring on Pricescope- and boy it’s hard to pick!

@mrs-b, thank you so much!!! I'm enjoying it.

I came across this thread not too long after I joined PS, and I still find DorotheaBrooke's Grey Spinel and Diamond ring one of the most breathtaking rings I've seen.

Laughing here....

Why, thank you, @rungirl! I designed that ring and had it made some years ago - then sold it to @DorotheaBrooke about 2 years ago. I regretted it almost immediately, as the color is the best grey spinel I've ever seen. So last week, when she decided to sell it and threw it up on LoupeTroop, it just so happened that I saw it within minutes of her posting, emailed her, and it's now back home with me!

It's a beautiful ring - the proportions are just delightful - and both the gems and the workmanship are lovely!

Welcome home, little spinel! <3
