The Show your Paraiba or Copper bearing tourmaline thread

Here's mine. It came from Yvonne recently.
I did pay to have it additionally certified given the cost of the stone. Confirmed that this baby came from Brazil!

I'll be honest. I was a bit taken aback at the colour when I opened the box- it is more blue than I had expected, I was hoping for something with a little more green in it. However, it does have a tiny amount of green in sunlight which is the look I was going for. I think it was the shade of blue and how... bright? the stone was that threw me for a bit. It glows. And the inclusions seem to help with that glow.

It's also a bit big for the ring design I had planned... may end up sitting on this one for awhile trying to decide how to set it

These photos are of it in direct sunlight to show that greeny blue colour I wanted!

It's beautiful! :kiss2: What are the details?
Do you have any plans yet?

I think it's beautiful and I love the cushion shape.

Thanks everyone. The paraiba is actually slightly lighter than the photos suggest.

The colour stability is excellent! In different lighting, the colour is pretty much the same. Maybe under yellow light (indoors), it goes slightly more green.

No plans for it yet. Either ring or pendant. Probably won't set it for a while :)

Enjoy this beautiful stone...

Remember, if it doesn't have that strong color, paraibas are known for, then your paying waaaay to much for it.

Does anyone remember who bought this 3.33ct paraiba from Yvonne (referred to as the Cadillac). Was it a PS'r?

Since I never heard anything about this belonging to a PS's, I feel like I have to share this. That 3ct paraiba was set into a beautiful pendant. I think it's so beautiful and unique. Definitely one of a kind.

What do you guys think?

@elle_71125 oww, that’s gorgeous indeed! Beautiful stone and design.

This guy is tiny, but I love him! SoIMG_20171201_055828.jpg glowy...
I love this!!!! With such an amazing colour, a stone does not have to be any larger. What are the specs? I love your beautiful stack as well.

.25ct, Paraiba from Brazil. I bought it through hiddentreasuregems on etsy. My big one in my avatar is Mozambique which I equally love. I lean towards the more blueish green colors, but this little windex color stone really is remarkable. The hardest part was finding a setting for it! It was really difficult to find something I liked for that small of a stone. I knew I would want to stack it too....

Such a cute ring! Wow, that color is amazing. I agree with Acinom - when it has a color like that, no need for massive size!

Thanks for sharing the specs! You have found the perfect setting for your stone
And... it’s time for a Paraiba group pic.

This is why great color doesn't require being a huge stone!!! It really explodes in color from that ring (which is a perfect compliment to the paraiba btw).

I love the first one!!

A dwarf compared to Burmesedaze's haul at 1.42 carats, but also got a green from the Bangkok fair. Beside it is a teal spinel.

Buyer beware... labelling a stone ‘Paraiba’ does not ensure great colour and quality. Ensure that you have reliable papers from a reliable lab. And it’s always wise to consult knowledgeable PSers.
Read about @neofita ‘s experience in her thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/mozambique-paraiba.239077/
After advice by various PSers, neofita decided against this particular stone.
Hope you will find your dreamstone @neofita!

Whatever you do with it, make sure your jewelry never ever puts in in an ultrasonic cleaner!!

Not sure if these beauties have been posted already, but we do not want to run the risk of not including these, don’t we?
From @missy ‘s blue thread:
