The Show your Paraiba or Copper bearing tourmaline thread

eek, that isn't a great outcome, I'm sorry! The paraiba itself is great, and the diamonds look nice. Those "pads" don't look great and are totally different colors so I would have the jeweler remove them entirely.

The star could theoretically be used as the bail, but I really don't like it because I think it takes away from the simple beauty of the pendant itself. I would do what @prs suggested and have him stick with a simple diamond bail. The good news is that the most important parts (paraiba stone and diamond halo) look excellent.

Exactly what I was thinking. It’s great that it wouldn’t be too hard to adjust.

Thanks prs, loverdogs and Bluegemz for your advice.
Much appreciated.
I’ll get the jeweller working on it immediately.

Regards

I agree. Just the Paraiba, or with the star and no pink stones. I think you can also orient the pendant this way with a dangling star on a short chain.

I think I would break it up. I would get rid of the pink stones, thet look like they may have windows (or large tilt windows) anyway. And then use the stones currently in the star as accents for a chain, like the design here

I would leave the pear drop intact. If you gave the jewler carte blanch, then I would tell them it is lovely, but you have realized you had something different in mind.

Any news about the pendant?

Might as well post my eternity band with paraiba and demantoid here, too.

Your ring is such an inspiration! I love this colour combination and your ring proves the impact of smaller sized Paraibas

Aww, thanks Acinom! I'm glad you love it, but @leslie1956 was the first to combine these colours in an eternity ring.

Thanks for the shoutout, @voce :-) Now everyone can see how pretty this combination looks in WG as well as RG. Vivid blues and greens look great in both colors!

No paraiba here, but this is a cuprian tourmaline in a denim-ish color.

Long time lurker who was inspired by this thread over the years to acquire a Paraiba of my own. Finally convinced myself to splurge and purchase something as a push present to myself :) The stone was from Yvonne and the ring by David Klass. Had to share with those that would truly appreciate it (my husband actually asked if it was a turquoise)!

Beautiful! ^

Very rare color. I have one that shifts to that color in certain lighting, but is more violet in others. How large is it?

Wow, such a generous mother! I am definitely a fan of this Paraiba ring. It's very well proportioned. The rose gold is the perfect metal for the neon green color, and the sapphire detail hidden in the inner band makes this super special and thoughtful! Thanks for showing us *drools*.

CVB had this little tourmaline that she called light copper bearing paraiba for sale on Instagram. It just arrived today and looks a bit lighter than these pictures. It was a bargain for its so I’m not too worried about the color. Any suggestions on a setting that will show it off without washing it out? I was originally thinking rose gold but now I’m not sure.

Perhaps some CS melee in the setting might help, especially if you decided to go with WG or platinum. Lavender or purple sapphire melee would be gorgeous!

That could be pretty! I’m not normally a purple person but Caysie also had some petite lilac sapphires that looked fun.

Best push present ever.
