AWWWW...I am officially in the twenties on our ladies in waiting list...I started in the seventies!!! I am feeling so unbelievably anxious!!

My SO and I have decided to do a destination beach wedding, which it took a lot of convincing from him for me to agree, but now I realize it is the best option for us! we are planning for a big group once the planning actually begins because we want everyone to celebrate with us! I have been looking at forums about planning destination weddings since October and recently have become obsessed over all of the possibilities for DIY crafts etc. It is making me so excited to get started. But on the other hand, thinking about all of the planning just makes me more and more sad that Im still not engaged!!! We are being asked now more then ever when it is going to happen and are being bypassed by all of those 1 YEAR relationships (dont get me wrong, no judgement, but after 4 years I am jealous!) now getting engaged!

He has started making comments like "maybe I already have the ring" etc. etc. but I know he is just trying to joke with me!!! It is sooooo hard to stay sane. I am trying really hard not to talk about it with anyone because I dont want people to think I am "impatient, or pushing my SO" plus I dont want to know how much I think about it!

Ooooooo it''s getting exciting!! Want to tell you to enjoy the moment but know that it is often more stressful/ anxious/ way to exciting to enjoy! Your bf''s comments sound promising!!

Can''t believe how quickly we have all moved up the LIW list over Christmas and New Year with all the proposals! Just wish I''d been one of them!

I just began reading the "psychology" thread about LIW emotions and not sure if my thread would be a better fit there. But though I would clarify a few things for my own good....

This anxiety is more or less created by impatience, a true sin for me! haha...I am not always patient when I should be! but I do not feel angry or disppointment or frustration. My feelings are very positive excited, anxious, happy etc. This is merelly my outlet to express my moments of...AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW because I am trying soo hard not to talk about this with others!

I completely and totally understand! We have been talking and ''planning'' our wedding for over a year now... keep discussing different locations, specific venues, ideal dates, etc. without being officially engaged! I have to say that finding this website has helped me keep my sanity this week, since I can''t tell anyone IRL about finding the ring!

Don''t worry, because if he''s talking you into specific details about your wedding, you KNOW a proposal can''t be too far off! Here''s hoping you never get bumped out of the twenties! May your planning go well, and may it be public shortly!

Ohhhh, we are talking about doing a destination wedding, too. I tried to talk him into Lake Tahoe since it is one of my favorite places in the world but he wants to go further since Tahoe is just a little bit from home.

As soon as our conversations went from "IF we ever get married can we not invite your evil mom" to "Why don''t we get married on a beach somewhere" I knew we were getting close.

I APPRECIATE THEM SO MUCH! Yes it is true, I do believe an engagement isnt far off, but far off can mean so many things! As we have all talked about Boy Soon and Girl Soon, that comes into play here! He told me no later then august 08, but has talked about so many options!!! Last night he said, "when do you think we''ll get engaged and I said July (it is my golden birthday) and he said wouldnt that be a good idea! I have already thought about it but decided it was too cliche) He knows I do not want to wait until JULY! Thats why I said it so that maybe he''ll do it sooner so that I''m taken by surprise! revearse psychology!

Im going to start a destination wedding thread to answer all of those questions for you all!!! I would LOVE to chat about ideas!
