I got it from a vendor in Sri Lanka that I usually buy sapphires from. I just asked randomly if he had any and he picked this one out for me. The colour when it was unset was pleasant but somehow setting it has really made it seem more saturated. I think because the cut is so good. I’ve never had an aquamarine, so it was just a kind of gap filler in the collection, but I’m really pleased with it. My next stone purchase is going to be a Grandidierite. I haven’t got one of those either.

I’m dying. A week into the “almost ready” update. Almost a month total of waiting since CADs were finalized. I’m trying to tell myself that he’s trying to make it perfect, but my neurotic side is also like WHAT IF THE DIAMOND GOT LOST.

about the same here, sweet pea! I know waiting is so hard, but I keep telling myself that 4 weeks (after CAD approval) is really not long for a custom ring. Mine is at the "setters" and supposed to be ready this week. I keep checking my emails every half hour-lol.

And you’re right, it’s not that long for a custom ring, but I was quoted 10 working days on March 11 when CADs were finalized. I just emailed him again a week after the last “update” and hope I don’t come off as too pushy. I acknowledged that he’s probably crazy busy, but would appreciate an updated timeline.

I am waiting on a redesigned (and much delayed) ring that was an anniversary gift from my bf. Precision cut lab pink sapphire and colourless heart moissanite sides in a two-tone setting. Hopefully I will have it by next week! I wish the smith had sent me a WIP photo but they've gone for their holidays already

I am in the 2 week club too, after deciding on the centre diamond yesterday! Pick-up date is our 16th anniversary next week! Thank you all who helped me in the thread I created around the stone.
The prongs were too long yet to put the stone close to the halo (it will be a no-gap halo) but I imagine it will be a super beautiful ring and can't stop smiling thinking about it.
