The wait will be long but that''s ok

Well, the wait for me may be very long indeed. BF has been struggling very hard with some health issues for a while, and we both have sort of been in denial about how much it was affecting our lives. Right now he is undergoing a very difficult medical treatment. The treatment is harsh enough that he has basically been immobilized for a few weeks now, with possibly a few more to go before he starts to see improvement. Hopefully by then it will be much easier for us to live a healthier and more normal life.

If everything goes the way it should, we should be back in business by the end of the year. I realize now how stupid I was to get myself all worked up about the possibility of getting engaged and married, when I should have been paying closer attention to the illness that was harming my best friend.

Right now I am perfectly content to wait as long as it takes. The only thing I care about is happiness returning to my sweet boy''s face. I''ve come to realize that marital status means nothing if I can''t live a vibrant, happy life along with my soul mate.
