The Zircon thread

@chatoyancy that's a fantastic find!!!! And it fits!!!!

I dropped my pink zircon ring on the wood floor yesterday and almost died! I looped it and didn't find anything though! I think it hit the diamond melee edge which is well protected by gold.

That is one of the worst feelings in the world! My heart sank right along with you. I'm so glad it's ok!

Adding my blue zircons i bought from jason brim and todd english. Nice windex blue! Will do a double halo.

Unfortunately no updates yet.....I’ve ordered more small stones, waiting on those. Also waiting on another umbalite garnet. The, i have to decide which one to set first!

I think I might be a zircon addict now! I’ve loved looking through this thread and seeing all the pretties! Something special about this stone!

Will do @Acinom!

I just assumed you guys don't want to see the same ring over and over again! That and the pink are my only two zircons. I am keeping an eye out for a green one, one day.

Start your own thread! It'd make referencing so much easier.

You have two stunning zircon rings @mellowyellowgirl ! You have such a great eye for jewelry. A very refined and elegant taste. I am looking forward to see a dedicated Mellow Yellow Thread!

It would be great if you could add a green zircon to your collection as well.

@sapphiremomma looks like you’ll be changing your name to ‘zirconmomma’! ;)2 Beautiful ring by the way! :kiss2:

Dreamy blue zircons for @Sparkle_ruckle in Yvonne Raley design. Tres chique!

It's such a pretty autumn color zircon. I would get something similar to this shade if I were to get one. It's such a versatile color. Burnt sienna maybe? Burnt orange? Cinnamon? It would look so pretty in a rose gold halo.

Thank you Cockatiel! Putting it in a rose gold halo is exactly what I had in mind. It has a lot of red in it irl.

Thanks for sharing! This is a gorgeous autumn leaf colour!

Thank you! I think mine is darker than the zircon on the John Dyer website now that I look at it more closely. I do think autumn when I look at mine.

Thank you @Acinom, for sharing my earrings! I'm flattered, especially because it's coming from someone with such good taste as yourself! Thank you for loving my earrings too, @missy @chatoyancy! I do enjoy switching out different studs to wear with the beautiful floral jackets, and the zircon studs are also worn on their own as a firm staple.

Wow! You can switch studs?! That’s awesome! I like them even better now.

I love dkata's ring! This makes me want to buy the lovely Asscher cut zircon in Yvonne's shop :-)

Look what @dkata did with her blue zircon from Jeff Davies. More background information here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ordered-today-my-first-blue-zircon.236432/

@dkata: we are ‘blue Asscher cut zircon from Jeff Davies’ ringsisters!
Dkata’s ring was just posted in the fabulous rings below 1250$ thread. Fabulous indeed!

@Acinom it’s really an honor for me, that you call me ring sisters, knowing your beautiful colored stone collection. I’ve just posted a few more details on the Fabulous rings under 1250 USD thread.

It was really expensive (over 5k - but it is 13 carats with lots of diamonds) and I am concerned with how fragile zircon is. Any thoughts? I still have two weeks to return it.

@Drm1grl : that’s a gorgeous ring! I can see why you kept lusting over it.
The ring looks really pretty and indeed has lots of diamonds. The zircon has an amazing color and size. But this comes from someone who loves zircons and who sets stones in expensive settings if the color is right. Also, all my zircons look like new as I am not hard on my hands like I used to be.
The ring looks pretty on your hand too. Though it looks like it should be resized down a bit?
Hope others will chime in as well. If you have doubts, you should return it. Though I have sometimes felt ‘funny’ after spending a lot of money on jewelry initially. For a great piece it will be worth it though.

It's gorgeous! I always heard how fragile they were too but I have to say that I've had my blue zircon ring for many years and it's been fine. I think that if they are protected by a halo or bezel then you should be okay. Just don't wear it gardening. If it's the size that makes you uncomfortable then that's another story.
