Anyway, BF and I have been talking about our finances lately, his favorite topic, and it seems that he is about to come into some extra money. Enough extra money in fact to make a nice dent in the cost of buying his sweet, loving girlfriend something sparkly. Now he''s never delineated that the extra money would go towards a ring. That''s just my little overactive imagination working.

Today he called to tell me not only is he getting extra cash in 2 weeks, BUT his tax return is going to be BIG, really BIG. It took all the strength I had to say "That''s great baby! That''s such a great chunk to add to your savings!!"

Instead of what I really wanted to say, "That''s great baby! That''s such a great chunk to use to buy me an engagement ring!!"

Must. Have. Willpower.

Anyway...I had a very similar conversation with my FF too!!! I almost could have wrote you exact post...Weird

He has some extra $$ coming his way too...I think to myself: "Great!! more carat weight"...He''s says "Great!! Extra money to gamble when we go Vegas" I wanted to shake him and yell "Gamble!! Your going to gamble away our future is what your going to do!!!"....without being overdramatic of course

So I feel your pain...I really do.

arent i awful. i guess i feel like if the bills are paid and theres food on the table and no one needs anything then the extra could go to luxury #1, right?
