Thinking about rubies

Bron, this is so exciting! I’m truly hoping that you have a natural ruby. (Even if it’s not, it’s lovely.) if it were, it would be the best treasure finding story that I’ve heard in a long time.

Alright what about these....
https://gemfix.com/gems/ruby-19-589 Mozambique, heat I'd prefer an oval but I could compromise!
https://gemfix.com/gems/ruby-19-565 Burma, heat, but moderate residue. Not sure how I feel about that, but the color and shape are appealing to me!

From Wildifsh...
https://www.wildfishgems.com/inc/sdetail/unheated_african_ruby_1_01/10910/15676 Is it even possible that this isn't windowed?
https://www.wildfishgems.com/inc/sdetail/unheated_african_ruby_1_44/10910/14297 maybe?

and finally, not ruby but big, red and relatively affordable comparably speaking of course!
https://gemfix.com/gems/spinel-31-289

Ok, I like the first gemfix one best. The second gemfix one is too included for my liking.
The Wildfish ones are nice enough, maybe the second one is too pink for my liking.
And the Spinel, what a fabulous colour - but not a ruby.
I guess it’s whether you want a ruby more than you want the special red colour.

I see what you mean about the wildfish one- it looks more pink on my daytime monitor.

I would definitely prefer ruby to spinel, so we’ll just file that one away. But dang that color!!!

Would you (or anyone else so inclined) mind having a look for me to see if there’s anything good I missed sub $10k?

Depending on the quality, $150k could be a steal for a verified unheated Burma ruby.

That specific one (
)
sold for USD 1m.

150k would indeed have been a steal!
