Hi,

I’m thinking of making a three stone ring using my OEC as the center and sapphires for side stones. Here are two pairs of sapphires - one more teal and larger and one more blue and smaller. I’ve never bought sapphires before, so I’m wondering what you think. I can get the blue ones in a larger size - I think I prefer the larger side stones but not sure on color. another vote for blue pair.

+1 - love the colour of the smaller pair, and the ratio is better too, IMHO.

DK :))

I was thinking I wanted more substantial side stones for more of a three stone and less of accent stones. Do you think the larger ones don’t work? I think I agree on the blue color, though!

When I saw the first pic of this pair, I immediately disliked it due to the colour.

Size-wise is fine, however, I still prefer the proportion of the smaller pair - they just looked more balanced to me.

Personal preferences and all that.

I'm gonna say I prefer the blue, but would go with the larger size. I tend to never think anything too big though!

As I already told you, I love the royal blue pair for color. I think you can go with either size. Both look fine size-wise.

I don't care for the teal personally. The other is more appealing.

both are beautiful. difficult to choose ...

the smaller pair of sapphires are not only more pleasing in proportion with the center oec but the hue of blue also appears to provide a sharper contrast. it is a more traditional classic look and combination

the larger pair is softer in proportion and color contrast. but to me, offers a more unique, individual look

oh, im sorry. im not much help ...

do you have a setting(s) narrowed down ... that might help sway you one way or another ...?

If I go the three stone route, I’m thinking just a basic trellis setting or something like that...

Blue sapphires with your OEC looks gorgeous! What ever size you choose, it will be beautifu!

Love it

The blue smaller ones are perfect!

Personal preference. I prefer blue over teal, plus the ratio of the blue captures my eyes more.

Im in love with the teal

The blue are perfect I’m size and color!

blue all the way

Love the sharper contrast w the blue!

Yet another vote for the smaller, more blue pair. They don't appear small enough to make me think "accent stone' over traditional 3 stone, they are too substantial for that in my opinion.

BIG BLUE BIG BLUE BIG BLUE

I prefer the look and size of those blue ones.

Last pair. Saturation is so vivid and :kiss2: .

I really find the teals rather pedestrian where the blue looks like it’s a color worthy of an e ring.

the teal would be nice in a boho type setting but I suspect that’s not what you’re after
