Just to clarify: Although William's performance was certainly comical (lol funny!) on one level, his effort and conviction was not! William gave a gutsy performance that night, and against overwhelming odds, and facing almost certain criticism from Simon, Randy and Paula, he emerged as a "winner" in his own right. His comments at the end of his performance truly serve as words of inspiration for all who have dreamed. What a couragous guy and a class act! Go William!

I saw this on Idol in the 'recaps' on the last audition show, CLASSIC. My girlfriend and I laughed until we cried. This guy goes to Berkeley and he is totally the 'it' thing here in the Bayarea now. My girlfriend didn't even know what song he was singing until he went into his gyrating chorus. But he did take the criticism like a man. I did feel bad after he stopped singing because he looked so *sad*. But still, really hilarious. Yay William. Bet he'll get more than a few dates out of this!

That is one of the reasons why I think he is so great. He did take it so well, and even though it makes me laugh, I have a lot of respect for him, and you could see the judges appreciated him too. He didn't cop an attitude and that was refreshing.
