This is uber Mege...new E-W oval yellow diamond halo.

Absolutely divine!!!

Goh! I was hoping there were handshots!

Please, please, please - show hand shots. I know you said you were not going to give it to her soon, but how long?

The yellow is so pure - I think that is why this looks so different. What are the other specs on the stone?

LM always does well and I am glad he came through so well for you.

Congratulations on 30 years. Quite an achievement.

I absolutely love, love this ring.
would love to see more pictures
of this masterpiece.

Had to come back for a second look

my jaw dropped...keep those pics coming!

The craftsmanship on that ring is spectacular. I am truly amazed that it''s even possible. Have a wonderful anniversary!

gorgeous! how did I miss this?

Hi all. Thanks for the compliments and well wishes.

Ok...here's the status. I should have the ring in hand by early June when DW is away from the office for a day trip with my son (we work together). Getting her to take a day off work is nearly impossible.

Anywho, I promise to post pictures after I receive it but there won't be handshots until I give it to her. (That's TBD...I'm trying to build a wedding band but not having luck finding the stone I want--that's another whole story.)

I have it in my head to save for a trip to the One & Only Club in the Bahamas (in January or February) and have our "kinda-like renewal of vows" ceremony. I love that place--it's a decade long dream of ours to go there. Actually, alot of this depends on some business decisions that need to pan out.

Bottomline is that I want this to be really special. I just hope I can hold off.

no handshots until January or February?? you are a cruel man Diamondeye!

This is my favorite Leon ring -- it''s so organic! But waiting until February to see handshots? A crime! Time for PS hypnosis: You are getting very sleepy....so sleepy...repeat after me...it''s time to give the ring to my wife...I must give the ring to my wife soon...

This may very well be my favorite Leon ring. The flowing lines and play of color are just incredible! Your wife is one very lucky woman and your plans for the surprise and renewal trip are very genuine. You are a great husband that clearly loves his wife very much!

Thanks Milly--I''m hoping she will love it.

Funny thing, I was reading an article on MSN today that was entitled: "What Real Women Expect From Men".

Here''s what women expect from Men in their mid 40''s:

He should be a real partner.

He should still be eager to learn.

He should be financially secure.

He should understand the importance of jewelry in a woman''s life.

He should take out the garbage without being asked.

He should be sexy.

He should be a gentleman.

I have to say, I never realized the importance of jewelry until my mid forties and we had been married for 25 years. (and that was before this articel was ever written).

BTW...the rewards are well worth it...if you know what I mean.

It''s important for us too...Buwhahahhaha!!!!!

You left one out..I very clearly recall it also stating

He should give her jewelry he has hidden away as soon as possible b/c others are ready to go into respiratory distress.

Yep, I remember it. Clear as a bell. It said that.

Okay, I know this has been long and drawn out but I still can''t get DW away from the office to accept delivery. Does anyone have any ideas?

I''m thinking about having Leon send it to one of my employees but I don''t want DW to get suspicious. We don''t have any family that live nearby and I don''t feel like explaining things to our friends. (Stuff like this I tend to keep private...it''s just weird for friends see what I do for my wife...you know?)

Planning a surprise party for her was easier.

I would do what you suggested and have Leon mail it to someone you trust. I wouldn''t worry about having to explain anything to anyone. Buying jewelry for your wife is a pretty well accepted practice :)

This may be the one and ONLY time I will not pressure someone to post more photos and hand shots ASAP. A ring like this deserves a grand "proposal" if you will (though she will be stunned and smitten no matter when you decide to surprise her)... And, admittedly, I think your desire to make the moment as special and celebratory as possible is very sweet. 30 years is AWESOME- congrats to you both!!

...And I hope your shipping situation works out. If it comes addressed to you are you sure she will a) open it or b) want to know what it is?

She wouldn''t open it but she''d ask alot of questions. I can''t take the chance--I suck at lying and she knows it.

Thought I'd add these back in...
