So, I guess I''m paranoid, but today as I was drying my hands in the bathroom at work, I looked down at the rough paper and wondered if it would end up scratching my ring. It''s the only kind of papertowel we have at work, or at the gym, but I''ve not been wearing the ring to the gym. I''m wondering if it''s *bad* to use these. Does anyone know? If it is, what do you do as a drying alternative?

Just a random thought milling around in my head today when I was working.

I would say (from a non paper towel expert stanpoint) that you ring is going to be fine....most certainly your diamond. The hardness of a diamond most definetly allows it to withstand those yucky, itchy, brown paper towels.....

Thanks for the info, luvinlife. I''ve not even cleaned it yet, because I''m worried that it''ll be scratched in the process. It''s silly, I know. Paul said maybe one of these days he''ll take it in to be cleaned at the local jeweler''s who we were considering going with in the beginning. It''s not dirty, but I have read so much lately about people cleaning their ring every day, and I''d hate for mine to get gunked up by not doing anything at all for weeks.

I was worried that the paper towels would scratch up the band part.

I really don''t think you need to worry about a paper towel. Steel wool maybe but not paper! For cleaning you should totally get an ultra sonic. I got mine from Sharper Image and I LOVE it and use it almost everyday.

sweetiefisher...the brown bathroom paper towels will not hurt your stone or ring.

in fact, they probably are a great option for drying it after using the US or similar. there''s really no lint in them
.

Thanks girls. Can you tell I''ve never had NICE jewelry before?
