Yup, so many! I''ve been reading the various threads on all your weddings, but now that we''re down to the wire, I''d love to hear your last minute thoughts...

Congrats to all on the upcoming happy day!

Hey--

I''m getting married in a little over a week!
36.gif

I''m flip flopping between being super excited & nervous. My wedding is a DW in Jamaica, which has meant the planning has been super easy (the on-site wedding coordinator takes care of all of the ceremony & reception arrangements), but I''ve been a little nervous lately that everything will work out as planned. (Basically, most of our wedding plans are a big unknown right now! We meet with the wedding coordinator the day after we arrive in Jamaica.) I''m also afraid I''ll forget something important at home & won''t be able to replace it on the island. I''m not sure if I''m going to do my hair & makeup myself or have someone in the spa at our resort do it for me. (no hair & makeup trials for me!)

I''ve been trying to be more zen about this--no matter what happens, we''ll be in a beautiful location, with friends & family & will be married at the end of the day next Saturday. But the planner side of me somehow feels like I''ve dropped the ball...

I''m really excited to be jetting off to a tropical paradise. I''ve been reading the message boards at my resort''s website & getting more excited every day. It will be wonderful to spend some relaxed, quality time with some of my nearest & dearest...and, most importantly, to marry my sweet FI.

Maybe I''ll start a thread with my wedding details tomorrow. (You guys have been instrumental in all of the important decisions!

I must agree that I am super excited for you too! Brightspot, you especially have been my "destination planning buddy."
Although neither of us have had to do much PLANNING due to our destinations, it''s been so great sharing the adventure with you!
Tell us all, I''m sure to be living through YOU next week!

Hey ladies!

I am getting married in three weeks and a day =) Like Brightspot, my wedding is a DW in Hawaii but it will be just the two of us. We are heading out there on May 6 and will be returning May 12. My wedding planning stress has been very minimal (thank goodness!), the only work that I had to do was find a vendor, venue and the right wedding package. I''ve always wanted to get married on the beach and so this is definitely a dream come true for me!

We will be in Hawaii a week before our wedding so I am really excited about being out there and doing all of the things that I have wanted to do such as going to see Pearl Harbor, snorkeling in Hanuama Bay, and going to a luau. This will be the first real vacation in about five years for us and it''s been looong overdue. And I am excited about becoming a missus and dropping my long name! It''s 11 letters long!!!

The weather condition is what I am most nervous about, I know that it is something I can''t control but I am really worried that it will rain or be overcast. They had have record amounts of rain in the past few months and so please keep your fingers crossed!! Prior to Tuesday of this week, I was really nervous about my dress and alterations and that it wouldn''t be completed in time! I had actually ordered my dress before we even got engaged ( but we knew that we were getting married in May) and so I was cutting it really close.

My wedding dress is actually a bridesmaid dress by Bill Levkoff that I saw and absolutely fell in love with. i tried to copy and paste the picture but couldn''t figure that out (I am challenged) so here is the link :http://www.billlevkoff.com/collections/index.asp?dress=876 The style number is 966. And as for my hair, I am not sure what I am going to do quite yet, I am debating whether I should wear a veil or put flowers in, what do you guys think?

Sorry for the long post, thanks ladies for reading! My friends here are probably sick of hearing about the wedding so it''s nice when people actually ask and want to know!

If any of you are getting married in Oahu and want me to pick up some additional information, let me know!

YIKES!!! Tomorrow is the all important 2 week one day mark...in other words...all my balances are due -- OUCH!

I''m super nervous and panicky cuz i feel like i have 50 million details left to attend to and I KNOW I''LL FORGET SOMETHING!!!!!

Ditto to BrightSpot on the waffling btwn nervous and excited and also about trying to be ZEN about everything. Attitude is everything!!!

Ditto to sosst about how no one but my mom and FI want to hear anything about the wedding. And one of my BMs won''t stop complaining...I just wanna smack her. But my most supportive BM (JenN, if you''re lurking....!!!) is coming to Slovenia for the 2nd wedding and I''m just gonna party at that one.

ANd finally ditto to Ginger about the 50 bazillion million more things I feel like i have to do!!!

But to answer your question...with 2 weeks and 1 day left I am currently printing out all the place setting cards and finalizing the seating chart at the moment (and it does change every moment!!). Of course, every g*d d*mn card gets stuck in the printer. Thankfully we only have about 60 guests. Whew!

And last night I conquered swarovski crystals! You know how hard it is to get 2.75mm crystals to go on the veil? Who knew?!!? But they give the veil this floaty, sparkly quality that I love and I''m so happy my seamstress talked me into doing some oomph to the veil. (Which I made myself, and I''m pretty proud of how it looks!!!)

I am so busy at work with actual work and with wedding details that I don''t have much time for PS during the day and at night after work I spent so much time running errands (yes, all wedding related, duh, as if there''s anything else in my life right now?!) that I collapse with frozen food for dinner, on the couch, and hope to catch an episode of Whose WEdding is It Anyway? (FI says that show is the main reason I''m so stressed. He''s so dumb. He has no idea what it is to be bride!)

Wish I had more time to post a wedding details thread but after the wedding I''ll have my life back and I can do it post-humously. Hee hee!

YAY!! so exciting!!

we aren''t doing a sit down dinner, so we don''t have to do placecards :) haha but i can''t imagine that''s fun!

all of your weddings sound BEAUTIFUL. i''m so excited for all of you. :)

Hey ladies! I''m getting married a week from tomorrow, and its been a little hectic the last few weeks trying to get organized!

I''m most excited about walking down the aisle in my dress, and being able to relax once the day is over!

But because the wedding is in Hilton Head Island, SC, (about 4.5 hours from us in Charlotte) there''s a ton of extra stuff to do! We''re doing a big welcome party Friday night, the wedding at 10am-2pm saturday, gathering saturday night at 8pm, and a farewell breakfast on sunday morning! *yikes!* On top of that we''re doing big welcome baskets for everyone, I had labels made for a wine bottle in each basket, a heart shaped wine bottle stopper, a shell candle, and lots of snacks and 2 bottles of water. The basket is the teal of my wedding color, and the labels & matching hang tags for the basket are the fuschia/hot pink of the other wedding color (and white is the third). So between fixing up the baskets, finding out who is coming in what day/night, where they are staying so we can get baskets there, the welcome letter/itinerary and reminder directions to everything in the basket, name tags for the dinner friday night, the video/photo tribute i''m doing honoring my mom friday night, the place cards, the table runners we made, writing our vows, glitter painting the starfish with placecards attached by ribbon, getting big baskets for shoes, waiting every day for my programs to arrive, trying to get final numbers in, writing checks, dry cleaning, picking up wedding rings, getting our marriage license squared away, thinking about packing and the honeymoon, i''m about to GO NUTS!!! But i think it''ll all be worth it, everything is coming together nicely.

Oh, and did i mention the group i work with decided to move firms on March 10, so i''ve been working 7 days a week like a dog for the last 6 weeks?!!! We''re going to Fiji on our honeymoon and all i can say is I CAN''T WAIT TO DO NOTHING!!!

Thanks for listening to my rant, i really am exciting but its a bit overwhelming. I do have a full time planner in hilton head, but there''s still a ton for the bride to do. My last fitting is in 45 minutes, so i''m off to that. My first "lunch break" in 6 weeks!!

Good luck to all the ladies with impending nuptials, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! :)

PS--I went to www.weatherchannel.com and created a ''wedding weather website'' and emailed it to all our guests so they''d know how to pack -- and they email you every day your updated forecast, so i''d highly recommend that to the other desitnation ladies!!

i''m doing the heart bottle stopper as my favor! (ok, so my favors are MUCH less substantial than yours, but our budget is $11,000. lol)

Great idea, L!

CONGRATS to our April/May brides!

May 13th here

My dress is very Renessiance and chiffon. We are having different individualized centerpieces for each table. My daughters are going to walk with the best man. We are going to have Gerber Daisies everywhere! We are getting married in a chapel with dark wood, high ceilings and and gothic type chandeliers.

I am nervous that something is going to go wrong. I am nervous that we have forgotten something. We decided that we did not want any flowers in the church... i.e. on the altar. Well, basically I decieded I would not pay the kind of money that the church wanted cause I thought it was a rip off. So I am afraid the church may look too plain and boring.. but I know that is not true cause the most important thing is that God will think it is beautoful.. regardless of flowers on the altar.

I am excited about seeing everyone getting to dress up for the day and be a princess. I think our reception is going to be a blast. We are all going to go to a baseball game the next day.... I am sure that it will be a blast. I am excited because after the wedding is over I can start working on the getting ready for the new house to be moved into.

This next month.. less than a month... I have 4 final papers and 2 final exams, have to finish with the DJ, finalize the menu based on the RSVP... wonder if people are going to RSVP last minute. Get with the cake lady. Pay off the rest of the vendors. Close on my house (APRIL 27th!!!) Meet with the organist, pick up my dress finish planning the meal for the night before the wedding, Graduate from college, my daughter has a weekend soccer tournament and ... oh yeah... get married.

BTW.. this is going to be a blessing by the church... so basically we are doing everything the same as we would if we were getting married. We are going to consider May13 the day of our anniversary. We feel as if our state marriage in not really that real without God's blessing.

we got our marraige license today...its starting to feel real! yikes!
