So I got to wear it for 30 min before my husband took it away . He’s going to have it resized and give it to me when we celebrate our 10 yr anniversary.
I can’t give a full review on the stone yet, but I definitely see traits that I always missed in my MRB. The MRB is such a perfect cut stone that I always gives great performance, to a level. But this transitional, is so interesting, I can already tell it has different personalities. THAT’S what I missed with my MRB.
In some lighting the transitional totally outglows the MRB, the MRB can’t compete with the brightness and the colored facets, and in some lightings it gives a more olivey glow whilst the mrb has a more crushed ice look.
I had it cleaned, it’s not an impossible K, maybe a lower colored K. I’m looking up sending it to GIA through a jeweler here. It sort of depends on the cost, I’m not going to sell it, in the near future at least, so I’m not sure what the point with a GIA would be. I’m going to have a valuation made and have it insured though (maybe).
