Thoughts on sapphires?

Hi,

New to the forums, I'm wondering if anyone could comment on the following stones?

I also looked through the preferred vendor list. One stone that I liked (very similar to the 1.84ct one above) is

But that stone has some obvious cosmetic flaws that wasn't clear in the image/video provided (I already purchased and returned it).

Appreciate any advices!

To me they both look like very dark stones. Color is a personal thing. Maybe you like the color? The second stone has some dark areas even with the vanity lighting. I'd call that extinction, no light return from those areas.

I personally prefer light blues. Hopefully someone else will chime in with their opinion.

I agree Stone Hunter - those look pretty dark to me, and I'd be worried they will look black most of the time.

It's a matter of preferece, of course, but I'm drawn more to blues like:
