I like the style too. The color looks super washed out, like grade A or AA instead of AAA or gem grade.

There is no universally agreed upon and accepted A, AA or AAA grading, which is typically set in-house and will vary from vendor to vendor. I do agree that they look pale but perhaps the price reflects that.
