Thoughts on this setting for my yellow sapphire?

So I have this cute unheated yellow sapphire that I bought recently:

And I've been looking at settings for it. My local jeweler always has the most interesting settings, and when I went the other day, she has this:

I'm worried about the lemony color of my stone possibly clashing with the yellow gold. It'll be an index finger ring, for what it's worth, since I really can't see the gold detail on my ring finger (and also am very much in the market for rings for my other fingers right now.

What do you guys think?

I love it! I think the setting compliments the color of your sapphire. It stands out due to the contrast of the white gold and gem’s color. The setting is beautiful, I love that it is a mix metal too, very elegant.

I like the bicolor gold with your stone.
however - I hesitate to add because it’s not your specific question -
I don’t enjoy the oval outline shape of your stone going into a octagon shaped basket meant for a round stone.
not sure how talented a jeweler would need to be to minimize gappage. If at all possible.

I think it looks great with the white creating a neutral contrast between the yellow center and the yellow band.

The jeweler didn't seem too concerned about it. I have no idea what it is that they do, but the last thing I had them set for me came out absolutely perfect despite being for a different size and shape of stone:

(the side parts on this are the petals seen from above, not a real gap)

I also wonder if it's possible for them to replace the head if need be. If not, then I might just nab the setting for another rock. lol

The pointy unprotected tip of the pear scares the heck out of me, Extremely high risk of it chipping and breaking off. Just because some things can be done doesn't mean it is a good idea.

I don’t think the stone fits in that head, and you might see an outline of shadow around the gem instead of a perfect fit. Also, there are quite a bit of prongs. Make sure they’re not overlapping the crown too much, or they’ll look like they’re “eating” the stone. Other than that, I think the color combination is lovely, and the setting is very pretty. It just may not be conducive to this gem.
