Thoughts on this stack!

This stack was my original inspiration! It’s a 3ct centre stone but not sure the tcw of the eternity.

There is an obvious size difference both width and height between the eternity and other 2 bands which I think works! Why does it work? Is it because of the almost matching but enough not to match size difference??? Hmmm!

What are your thoughts? Like or dislike? Why?

I like it. I’m really sensitive to stacks with differing widths, but I feel like this one WORKS!

I like it too. It is similar to what I wear. I think it works because of the varying sizes of the bands. It is not matchy matchy and that makes each one stand out a little bit. The varying size is pleasing to the eye because you can distinguish one from another and it does not become one blob of sparkle. That's my take anyway.

I think it works because the size of the stones in the larger band echoes the diamond in your e-ring. It has a kind of balance that is pleasing to the eye!

I love all the rings, but I feel like the larger band is overpowering the center. Maybe put the large eternity on one hand and wear the dainty band with the 3 ct center. That said, if you love it, then it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

What height and width would you guess the 3 bands are?

My princess eternity is 3mm wide and about 2.2mm high.

I’m getting my blue band remade so am going to try and copy those 2 smaller bands width/height!

There's really no way to know... you'd just need to find bands that are similar in height.

I love that it doesn't match.. And I like the different metal color on the middle band that adds some variety. I think it works because it doesn't look like she was trying to match because none of the band's are even close. The mismatch ones that don't work are the ones that look mismatched by accident like almost matching but not.. imo

I do like the stack as is, but I agree with @msop04 that the eternity takes focus away from the solitaire. Do you want your bands to enhance your centre stone or do you want your look to be more about the stack as a whole? No wrong answer, of course, just a personal preference. I'm having a stack dilemma myself, so this is interesting to think about!

I like it too! Not sure why, I usually dont like a big eternity with a solitaire. I cant tell the size but would absolutely advice you go try bands on IRL to see what looks nice on your hand.

I think the big eternity band overpowers the solitaire. But then again I prefer the solitaire to be the star of the show and here they are competing IMO. I am not necessarily a matchy matchy person but I definitely think that is too big a difference (to my eye) and I would see what you prefer IRL on your hand.

This girl is rocking a 3ct OEC and it is just so relaxed... comfortable. It kinda feels like no one would judge her for her ostentatious finger because it just looks so relaxed and chick.

Can you tell I am worried about the judgement I feel I will receive if/when I purchase a 3ct. Am I trying to dial it down by a mismatched, cool stack? Who knows, but this stack just feels like me.

Don't get me wrong, I am still going to find myself a beautiful big stone, I just know it is going to come with ridicule from family :roll

Here you go @Niel not much more spread but it was all I could find.

These aren't my rings... it's a set I am creating based on this! I'm just having a hard time because the band heights don't match, which normally I would have issues with, but for some reason, this set works beautifully.

I like it a lot! I think it helps that even though there's a difference in ring heights it's not extreme.

Love this stack too! I think it’s confirmed that I like different heights more!
