Happy Easter everyone, please give me your unabashed thoughts on this princess-cut halo. I won’t be offended lol.

No one??

I have learned not to care what anyone thinks about my taste in jewellery.
Im the one that will wear it SOOOOO
If you love it girl then you rock it!!!!!

Is this your ring or are you considering buying this ring? Like what princessk was saying...what I like/dont like doesnt matter as long as you do.

Considering buying it

I think it’s poorly made and has a dated style.

This is my opinion. If it makes your heart sing then my opinion does not matter.

If you’re in the fence, I suggest letting people know your budget and style see if maybe you can make a different choice after being presented with more options.

I think a peg head sticking out of a Halo is very poorly made and looks like it's ready to break. That is NOT how a Halo should be set at all.

Explain how it’s poorly made or has a dated style. This would be a right hand ring :)

The millgrian is done by machine, the halo was not made for this stone rather a peg head was used to manufacture multiple ring with varying size diamonds, the halo metal between the melee stones is not polished and very visible. They should have used double the number of pave stones in that halo but to skimp on cost they used metal dots between the melee to fill space.

It is dated becuase in general princess cuts are dated also the faux vintage design seems early 2000.

What’s the cost of this ring

The quality is quite bad and the hearts make it seem like its for someone young. The princess stone sticks way to far out of the halo
due to the peg head.

If you are looking for something we might be able to help you if you give us your budget. Sometimes PSers can find really nice pre-loved
items even on tight budgets (@Niel is good at it for one).

PSers will almost always go for a quality setting/stone over a more elaborate but poorer quality setting/stone.

The idea/concept is a matter of personal taste.
The execution is just awful with the unintended space between the stone and the halo. The use of a peg head in this design is a nightmare. The quality of the stone and the way the melee is set seems poor quality. The size of the melee is too small which looks cheap.

Whatever the price is... this ring is a waste of money.
If you love it despite the flaws, than go for it

I like the hearts and the shank and the heart prongs. The stone so high above the halo is not my taste.

The center stone is too small for the ring. It should be touching the halo. It's hard to tell, but the melee looks very dull. There is too much metal in ratio to diamond. Whoever made this cut every corner in the book. I suspect in real life, in normal lighting, there is no sparkle whatsoever.

Tell us your budget and your tastes, and let us find you something better; the women here are miracle workers when it comes to finding a bargain or working within a budget!

@caribbeanbridetobe Since you asked ... I agree with the observations of others - it looks like poor quality in terms of craftsmanship and design. If you’re just looking for a ‘cheap’ RHR, and it’s priced accordingly, go for it. But judging from your prior posts of your jewelry, this looks like it’d be kind of “sub-par” to the rest of your collection and perhaps out of place. Have you seen it in person?

The setting was obviously not made for that stone. The discrepancy would bother me.

I *hate* it. I happen to love princess/square cut stones, but the halo looks ridiculous (ps I also hate halos). Plus the height of the centre stone isn't congruent with the rest of the design. Pass.

Sadly, it's all prong and not much ring. As other posters have said, there is too much metal, it's poorly worked and the melée is rubbish too. Plus, the center stone is probably not 'all that' either. The center stone is probably poorly/cheaply cut. If you are a regular PS watcher, you know better than to waste money on this ring. You know that if you like the style you can have it made better for the same price or less. You know what to look for to choose a better center stone and how to find a better goldsmith.

I agree with what everyone else has said. This ring would be a pass for me. The quality is atrocious, the center stone and peg head are not in proportion, the pave is badly done. I can't find a single thing to like about it. Normally, I wouldn't say anything if I couldn't find something redeeming about it, but you asked for honesty. Please skip it. Even if you like it now, down the road you will not be happy with this purchase.
