So, although I think the ruffle dress is really fun and more lively, the comments I got from some girlfriends, sisters, and my brother were that they thought it looked like a prom dress and was a ''bit too much''. Do you guys think it looks like an 80''s prom dress? That''s definitely not the look I am going for. I can see where they are coming from, but I see so much more in it than that.

The thing that is SO hard is that I tried these on in NY, and flew up there just for the weekend. I have to make my decision now without trying anything on a second time.

-Brightie.

Not an 1980s prom dress, but a bit like part of a wedding cake. I perfer the Rosette dress. The bottom of the ruffle one is pretty, but the neckline is too much.

simply stunning.

I loooove me some ruffles, I vote ruffles!

Lovin the ruffle dress on you! It just has more personality!

I still totally prefer the Becca. I think it looked totally amazing on you and perfect for a garden wedding. So I am no help! I think the ruffles is a distant, though pretty, second followed by the rosette. Can you take your SIL to see the Becca?

You are going to be beautiful in anything, but here is my order:

1. Becca
2. Ruffle
3. Rosette

:-)

Yeah, I''m gonna be no help either and say I still like the Becca the best. But since you have to choose between the two other ones, I vote for the non-ruffle one. I just personally do not like ruffles. I think they are a bit too much, especially the ones at the neckline. But that''s just my bias, they both look beautiful on you, so you should pick whichever one you like best!

Ebree, does that mean you like the Rosette better than Ruffles?

Definitely.

Is visiting a boutique that carries the Becca near your SIL (so you can try it on with her) an option?

Not really an option because it would involve my spending another $350 to fly again to NYC to try it on with her before x-mas, bc I need to order it by x-mas. Just too much $ right now for me. Plus, she has a thing for Carolina Herrera and only took me there (which is amazing of her to take me ANYWHERE in my opinion). The rest of my family is scattered all over the place, and she is the one who stepped up for this.

Ok, here are two more dresses from Carolina Herrera. Don''t think they look as good as ruffles or rosette, but your opinions might differ.

This pic and the last one are of the "Bands Dress"

The rest of these are of the Satin Dress

I don''t like the front of the Band dress as much as any of the other three. You have a great figure, all of them look great on you. Is any one of them really doing it for you?

I accidently interupted your photos and can''t figure out how to delete my post. Sorry about that.

i love the satin dress you just posted! sooo pretty! shows off your great figure and is simple yet has the lace which gives it an extra little something.

eta: the ruffles dress isn't my cup of tea, reminds me of those southern belle dresses. there's just a bit too much going on there. maybe if there were no ruffles in the bust line?

The Becca did. These others, it''s a lot harder to tell because when we went shopping we were a little rushed and were only in there for 45 minutes. I am left with a fleeting memory of them, and these pics. If I were in the same location as the store (I am in Savannah and would need to fly to NY...already looked at places down here that carry CH and they don''t have these dresses), I would just try them on again to get a real feel without rushing, but no can do.

Do you know what you''re planning to do for jewellery, shoes, and hair? Thinking about those things might help you narrow it down a bit.

The rosette dress is my least favorite of all five dresses. I like Becca, satin, lace, and ruffles and then a distant last rosette. I think you look beautiful in it, but it just doesn''t have any interest considering the price tag of CH...

Honestly, who cares if you tried it on with her or not? It''s a gift, right? I can''t imagine her not wanting you to get the dress you like the best. Ask her if she''ll mind, show her the pictures, tell her it''s the one you feel magical in... if she likes you enough to offer that kind of money, I assume she likes you enough to want what you want.

I like Becca, then band, then satin, the best. But it sounds like you like Becca the best, which is what matters most! Hope you can work it out to get the one that you love!

Seeing the new pictures, I prefer the satin to both the ruffle and rosette dresses! Though...

...I have to agree. The Becca is stunning (and my favorite of all), and I don''t think you should pass it up just because she wasn''t there to see you try it on. I like the suggestion above.

BTW, you''ll look lovely no matter which you choose!

I don''t know what I am doing for jewelry. I want to wear my hair down. I''ll probably just put it in loose wavy curlers. I like it best that way. Shoes, somehow, don''t seem as important to me.

The Satin and the one you called the lace one are the same dress. The lace is around the waste. Do you think this stain/lace one is really close to the Becca or Becca still far surpasses?
