Hey ladies!

Our local boutique is having a rack & sample sale this week only- with up to 70% off regular gowns and couture gowns starting at $500. (Most of their stuff is to die for!) Here''s the link to their website: http://bellavistabridal.com/

I''m going on Sunday (day 2 of the sale) with my mom just to see if I can get lucky. I don''t have any ideas what kind of dress I want- just something that looks smashing on me.

Any tips for surviving this kind of shopping- or what to expect? I''m thinking it will be madness- they''re not accepting appointments.

Thanks for the help!

be careful not to be on impulse or just because something is a good deal. I did that at a Saks sample sale and now I''m stucK with a dress I don''t really like. I was sucked in by the $1500 price tag. The dress was originally $5300

Check the dresses thoroughly for signs of wear/damage. I bought my dress at a sample sale. Some of the dresses had small smudges, probably able to be cleaned. My dress had an additional discount because the sash had some black stains on the back, near where they would put the clips on it for sizing, but I wanted to replace the sash anyway, and the new sash only cost me $30. That was the only thing "wrong" with mine. Just be on the lookout! I''m sure you''ll find something great!

Is there any chance you can go shopping today, even if just to Davids or a local consignment shop, just to get an idea of the shape you want? IMO, wedding dress shopping is most overwhelming when you are trying to find out what you want. Because of all the temptations (pricing, deadlines, crowds) surrounding a sample size, I would have a vision of what you look best in and want before you go. If you can''t do this, just make sure to tell yourself (and believe) that spending money to "save" can be very wasteful--many 2 dress brides can attest to this.

That said, though, good luck! I hope it goes well for you.
