I love to make my own ice cream....have one of those cuisinart machines.....A good recipe is to get a chocolate cookie crust, spread it w/ Doe brand fudge sacuce to coat and stick it in freezer....Meanwhile I make up a batch of vanilla ice cream, and pour it in the crust, pop the lid back on and freeze until serving, when we use more of the fudge sauce on top....so quick, easy and yummy!!!! (would be great w/chocolate chip mint!!!!)

oh my gosh Maxine that sounds divine!!

one of my absolute fave desserts at one of my fave restaurants are these two oreo cookie small pie/cookies, but not like the typical TGIF version with coffee ice cream etc...this is basically soft crumbly oreo cookie type crusts sandwiching vanilla ice cream in between, and covered with the best smooth creamy fudge ever. it''s all homemade and tastes like silk and it is just THE BEST EVER!!! i can''t even stress it. when we go in groups, we get like 4-5 for 8 people..hee hee. and everyone knows I DONT SHARE MINE!

DF, aren''t you the one who started this thread????? (no wonder they call you a trouble maker.....

Whenever I go on vacation.......wherever in the world I am......I check out my gelatto sources first, and if no gelatto then ice cream.....Had gelatto every night in Italy, especially....and in Germany. And this summer found the gelatto place at the Bellaggio....it was really yummy!!!
Had some gelatto and some fruit sorbet......
At cold stone, I like chocolate (or white chocolate) w/raspberries...............

yeah but,i don''t want to get blame for the extra lbs that you girls are putting on.

i gained 5 lbs just by reading this thread, without even eatting a single scoop of ice cream.

THE RICHEST chocolate flavor I''ve ever tried!!!!! EVEN DARKER than Godiva''s dark Belgian Chocolate flavor..

Green tea ! That's it!

And perhaps some dark chocolate on the side 'cause I wouldn't want any milk in that. Icecream of coconut milk and dark chocolate (80%) is great too.

otherwise I like anything with a strong vanilla bean flavor/smell and chocolate sauce, of course!
