Topaz?

I just started a little project for myself. I was able to find a deal on a two tone trellis setting made to fit a .5-.75 round stone. So I was thinking I would try to find a really nice mystic topaz of some sort to set in it, since I really don''t have money for something big and fancy. Problem is I have NO CLUE where to find one, any ideas?

What about a cool gemstone in general? I''m open to ideas. I just need to find a round .5-.75 stone for this project. I want something interesting and beautiful. Something that will catch the eye a bit.

What colors do you like and dislike. That''s the best starting point.

For a ring you need a certain hardness in the stone... but the color is the best starting point.

I really like light colored blues, and tropical blues (like ocean type colors). I also like pinks. Would topaz not be good as a ring then? Hardness wise?

I just bought a London Blue... mine is really saturated and can be a dark teal color in the right light. I just love it. Hope you as happy with yours as I am with mine!

Trust me there will be TONS. I actually got this in a lot of five stones. I know I''ll do earrings with two, but suggestions for the other two would be great. I''m thinking maybe a pendant for myself and one for my grandmother since this is her birthstone (topaz that is). But Not sure what designs I like.

I''m hoping to purchase a new camera soon. Right now I have a Kodak, somethin or other lol. I want a rebel BAAAAAD. I do a lot of equine photography and nature photography so it fits me best. This one that I have was my first digi and it''s ok, but macro doesn''t like me....
