total bridezilla moment, and i am proud of it!

so, i will admit with the semi stress of planning, i am a bit sensitive on the whole "to get married or not" argument everyone has. today, my boss told another male coworker that if he is smart, he''ll never get married.
this man has 2 kids and a wife; a very loving family. I looked him right in his eye and said "really? coming from a married man? what a bitter comment. Very Bitter"

seriously. i *hate* this discussion/argument. it''s about as effective as trying to figure out which religion is right.

okay, end bridezilla moment! (thanks for letting me vent!)

I think the men who say stuff like that are joking for the most part but I would be really PO''d if my husband went around saying that. Good for you for saying something!

if it were my boss, i''d love to say back, "well then i guess it sucks that i''m working for such an idiot who decided to get married and have kids! obviously you''re not a smart one."
ok, probably wouldn''t say that so i didn''t get fired...but i''d be thinking it.

i always want to ask people who say something like that if they would say that in front of their spouse. i doubt it. usually they are just saying that to be a part of the "cool single guys club." but my husband (of all of 1.5 months) says he would never want to be single again.
