I just picked up my 10th anniversary upgrade - yay! First, my old ring for reference:

It was a pretty plain white gold 3-stone setting with two .25 carat light blue sapphires on the sides. I really did like it, but over the years I’ve been wanting more and more bling (as per usual around here!)

So I set off on getting an upgrade for my 10th anniversary and had a few different ideas:
1) Keep a simple setting but get a bigger center stone
2) Keep my center stone but upgrade to a blingier setting
3) Get a completely different look, such as an anniversary band

One of my very favorite pieces in the last few years has been my Cartier Trinity ring. I love the look of the three different golds, especially rose gold, so when I saw this new setting, it appealed to me! It’s a little unique, which I also like, and reminds me of my Trinity in both shape and color. I started looking at bigger stones to put in it, but really hesitated. I didn’t think I’d feel very sentimental about my original stone but as I stood there facing the reality of getting rid of it, I froze and decided to keep my original stone, at least for now. In the end, I’m glad I did - I think it turned out great!

The center stone is a 1.01 carat H VS2. The new setting is tri-toned (two white gold, two rose gold, and one yellow gold “swoop”) and has 1.76 carats of diamonds on the bands. I don’t have a “real” camera right now (other than my massive zoom lens) so cell phone will have to suffice for now.

It’s so fun to have something new!!

Oh, I love that!

It works and is unique. Perfect.

This is lovely! Very on trend. To my eye, it also makes your original stone appear larger.

This is really beautiful! I love the tricolor setting, you can't beat the finger coverage, and it all looks simply perfect on your finger. Very elegant. Congrats on your new beauty!

That is a beautiful setting. Very unique.

OOOOH I love this! The setting is super unique and I also like the tricolor effect. I definitely agree it makes your original stone look bigger.

Yes, this is lovely! It's really original & exciting to look at! I'm also a fan of different coloured metals with pave & the fact you found this AND managed to keep your original diamond, is a perfect solution. More pictures!

It looks spectacular!! And it totally does make your centre stone look bigger! I love the rose gold especially, I`m such a sucker for it. Congratulations!

Absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful and creative re-set!

Yes, my first thought was that the center stone looked larger in this new setting! It is beautiful - congrats on your anniversary and updated ring!!

Who made it?

Beautiful setting! Very unique. And I agree...the setting makes your diamond look larger. Congratulations on ten years and on your lovely upgraded setting commemorating it!

That is a really neat setting. I love all of the colors and the finger coverage. Plus, instead of getting lost in the business your diamond actually stands out more! Well done :appl:

Looks so pretty on your hand!

Who made it?

It’s from a local chain (gasp!), Shane Co. I’m well aware of the stigma but they do have unique settings, plus that’s where DH got my first set and their trade-in policy is dollar for dollar so was able to put the old setting toward the new one.

That is beautiful!!!

Very pretty.

Oh, I love that!

Snazzy! I love how fluid the pave bands. Please post more photos, this is a great and unique piece.

Absolute gorgeous, just my cup of tea!

It’s so beautiful and unique! I love the tri-gold bands and how they give the stacked look in an interesting way. And your diamond is gorgeous and holds her own ever so gracefully amidst the bands.
