Tsav & Spinel: yea or too much?

I got this 1.11ct Tsavorite from Gene this year and have been looking for spinels to either make a moi et toi ring or a 3-stone ring. I found this 0.78cts (Mansin Jedi) spinel pair from CRD. The Tsav is 7.343 x 5.521mm and the spinels are 4.95 x 3.54 and 4.98 x 3.60. I think the proportion is nice for a 3-oval ring with a diamond halo all around it.
I like the color combination, but before I commit to this setting I would like to tap into the collected wisdom of this community. How do you like this color combo? Are the colors balanced together or the spinels too strong for the Tsav?

Deep pink/red and green combination occurs nature, and I love that combination.

I typically wear solid color clothing and most of them are neutral colors. I usually rotate my rings and just wear one (at most two) on my left hand. These allow me to put more colors on my hand

Killjoy here. They are individually absolutely lovely. Side-by-side, I think they detract more than they complement. Both so vivid -- each "steals" the impact of the other.

But you could always wear it once a year with your matching sweater!

They are vivid and the contrast is stong. I actually like that in this color combination for a ring, although I can never image myself wearing any clothing with that combination

The stone proportions (7x5 vs 5x3) look nice; since red is more aggressive than green, I want to double check here the red does not overpower the green. I myself thinks it does not.

My intuition is rose gold. Voce's and TL's rings above seem to use rose gold as well. Without the halo, I think rose gold would work the best. I hope the rose gold in the halo will not introduce too much of a third color.

The sizes of tsav and spinels are pretty decent without the halo. But since the contrast is dramatic, I want to add a halo to make it even more glamorous.

Yes, my ring was in rose gold. I'd agree that for this color pairing rose gold is good for both colors and enhances.

I love those stones together! I am not picking up Christmas vibes though, it looks more tropical to me. I would set them in 18k yellow. I have a pink spinel, demantoid and paraiba ring in 18k yellow and I love the richness of it and how it plays up the juicy colors. I will try and find a pic.
