I recently got married 5 months ago. My husband works offshore and is constantly getting dirty.

I have been looking at Tungsten rings online to buy him as a temp ring to wear when he is offshore.

Pick #1

Pick #2

Currently, I am liking number 1 better. #2 looks just so-so to me. I need something I enjoy for my hubby!

Does anyone have info about tungsten rings? Do they scratch or break easily?

Thank you in advance for your help!

In regards to Pick #1, it’s a really clean look. However, some of my mechanics, military, and police clients have been able to break the thin silver stripes off of their tungsten rings that look similar to the one in the pic. That’s something to think about.

Pick #2 is also a very cool look. Keep in mind that Tungsten is NOT black though. It’s dark gray in color, so if it’s black then it usually has some sort of coating on it. I can't recall which brand, but one black tungsten ring will actually fade to purple and then eventually chip off leaving the normal dark gray color that's underneath the coating.

If you like the black and gray look, I would recommend getting a black ceramic ring with tungsten for the gray color. These rings stay the same colors and the black ceramic and Tungsten are both extremely hard to scratch (typically they are 9-9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale).

Here is a ring that I would recommend: CR0028. It’s on page 4 of the Revv Site.
