All this talk of snake jewelry inspired me!

I've had this stone for about a year, and finally decided that a sterling snake would set it off nicely.
It is Ithaca Peak turquoise from Arizona.
A pretty deep blue with specks of pyrite.

Very cute, thanks for sharing! :kiss2:

I am looking forward to the jewellery item that you will be making for your OH.

Such a nice piece as always!

What a handsome ring! It must be so satisfying to be able to imagine it and then make it yourself!

That’s so groovy! I absolutely love snake motifs. Did you do the actual creation? If so, wow! It’s really a great complement to the stone, which is a beautiful color.

Ok, I see you did create it fully. Wowsers! (Hadn’t read others’ replies) And do you ever do custom pieces/projects for others?
Since I’m new here, would love to see other pieces you have created.

I'm afraid he wants a snake ring now!
Now I've gotta do this all over again......!

Yes, I create my own sterling jewelry, made from the bottom up with sterling sheet, wire and loose stones.

I've been posting my hand made jewelry on Pricescope for years! It's mostly in Colored Stones, but here's a little sampling.

Thank you!
You know, successfully creating a piece of jewelry that looks good is very satisfying.

I am in love with your turquoise pieces!
I can only imagine what your full personal collection must look like! I bead and knot things and do very basic wire wrapping but have zero experience with any real metal smithing. If I had your skills I’d constantly be making myself pieces!

I have way too much jewelry, of course:)

that is so cool :kiss2:
you are so clever

Oh, this one is such a beauty! I love the shadowbox -- it compliments the stone beautifully. The snake is one of the prettiest I've ever seen - just perfect with that southwestern vibe. What a treasure.

Thank you for the kind words!

There will be more snakes in the future, I think!
Maybe spiders, too.

Wow, love it! Thanks for showing us the process and the finished ring.
