So Im going to the mall tomorrow to buy a gorgeous purse for myself. (hopefully) And I haven't been to Tiffany's since Feb. so I will have to go in. (unless I don't get a chance to, thats fine) Im itching to look at my dream ring. I've only physically looked at it once, last summer and glanced over it the other times. So long as the boyfriend doesn't come in with me and I don't tell him that I looked at it,(if you know my story, I told him I wouldn't talk about rings) I think it should be ok to have them take one out for me to see! Right? And of course, so long as they are not busy. The first time I looked at it I had them take out the smallest one, but I was thinking about asking to see something between .50-1.00 just to see how it looks on my hand. Also, a real reason for going in: I was thinking about asking them to measure my finger because the rings that I do have are too big. (this way when I see the lovely ladies with their ring postings, I will know which size to compare to my finger. Me itching to see this ring is due to all the gorgeous ring postings here.) lol

I just want to seeeeeeeee. I don't see anything wrong with looking. hehe

Well, I go by this alias mainly because my boyfriend says the DMB song Dreamgirl reminds him of me. How CUTE!

Ohhh, which Tiffany? How exciting! I love wasting time in Tiffany. And trying on sizes, both stone size and ring size, is a great idea.

Oh good, Im glad you think so! EEEEE Im excited!!! I hope I will get a chance to look. After seeing my dream ring posted by some lucky owners here on PS, it makes me so badly want to see which size is good for me (IMO.) Of course, some day it will all be his decision on the size and even if I get this ring. But I can still look for now to amuse myself! lol Oh, and it''s the Denver Tiffany.

Yes yes yes, but which Tiffany ring!?

The classic, the Novo, the ribbon...which one? My partner stays away when I go into Tiffany. Not that I can afford anything in there but that doesn''t stop me. They have this fab asscher cut sapphire and diamond alternating band I''d consider killing for.

I know sometimes I thank God that I found PS and sometimes I think spending half my day (literally b/c I have the most boring job possible right now) starring at all these lovely rings just makes me more antsy. I really do need a place to talk about this stuff but personally I think I need to cut back. LOL

As long as you think taking a little look at it won''t push you over the edge then go for it. That is of course if your SO isn''t tagging along. I would say for sure get yourself sized, but be careful not to fall in love with anything.

I''ve been plotting all day about how I can get my SO to go shopping with me this weekend so we can pop into another jewelry store

I know I''m bad but I just want to have the chance to show him something thats closer to what I really want.

Sometimes when I'm with FI, I tell him I want to go into Tiffany to compare my ring to the rings there and see how they compare (we looked at the Novo once before deciding to go a different route), but he always says that wouldn't be very much fun.

You should have lots of fun in there, though! When we were looking at the Novo, they let me try on a 3ct solitaire. It was gorgeous, and I don't even like solitaires (on me)!

I always thought I would want 1ct but after seeing so many rings here that are smaller than 1ct, Im thinking this is great!!! So many diamonds .50 and up look so much larger than I ever would have thought!

KC- Im at work and you just made me laugh out loud! As long as it wont push me over the edge! I can''t help but come here when Im bored and this past week has been soooooo boring.

I just hope I can keep my mouth shut to FF about what I''ve seen/done. Oh God, chances are I will spill my guts as soon as I walk out of the store. Last time I did this, he was with me and I was ELATED for about 3 hours after the fact. haha! I get as excited as a little child on Christmas day I could dance around the mall. Oooh Im getting excited right now even. I must calm myself down. FF will be with me at the mall, I just hope he doesn''t come in. Sometimes he does/sometimes he doesn''t. And I''d really be dreaming if he WANTED to go in and look at rings. HA!

star- I don't care much for solitaires either. Although, I haven't tried any on except for the Lucida years ago. FF loves the Classic Tiffany Setting for me (I don't.) If they aren't busy, maybe I can ask to see one. Then again, I don't want to get too carried away. Or very last conversation about erings, I told him I would like it if we looked together one day when HE WANTS to look instead of me just telling him Novo, Novo....Because I know all the rings Tiffany's offers. But I haven't tried them all on. There could be a sleeper hidden in there!

I know, weird! FI like the solitaire on me, too, and actually hated the Novo.

I liked the Novo, still do, but we wanted to get me a ring that we both loved. So that''s why we didn''t get a Novo.

Which is odd, because the ring I DID get is pretty similar to the Novo. Boys.

Oh I know, it is so similar. Boys are crazy. lol Your ring is a beauty! When I did show him the Novo on hand, he said it was nice. I think solitaires are pretty but its just not me. I need more character to it. And of course, he had said he likes it because its plain and not "blingy" And I was thinking ARE YOU CRAZY BOY?! lol. I just try to go on the fact that the time he did see it on me I could tell he did like it......lol Plus, he could have been teasing me because he loves doing that.

Also, I think the Novo is kind of a twist on the Classic Setting. Instead of round, it has a bit of a cushion to it. (Still similar) And the band has bead-set diamonds instead of a plain band. If I ever get a chance to talk to him about this again, Im going to point that out. ha! It's what he likes with a touch of character that I like.

My FI had a great time ring-shopping with me and was always suggesting we go to stores to try things on. Now that we''re engaged, though, his desire to go into jewelry stores is pretty much non-existent. Even when I say we should start looking at men''s wedding bands, he still doesn''t want to!

After purchasing my lovely new handbag I went to the restroom. When I walked out, there is a Sunglass Hut right across from the bathrooms and BAM right in my face was Tiffany Blue beaming out of the store. "OOOOOOH, the Tiffany sunglasses!!!!" I went straight across to Sunglass Hut like a train on a track and could have possibly knocked people over just to get to my destination! I had read recently about the Tiffany sunglasses but I didn't believe it. Tiffany? Being sold somewhere else? Anyhow I tried about every one on. They are a little pricey for me though. I left the store and got the boyfriend and tugged him along into the store to show him. I didn't say anything, just pulled him toward the store and BAM it hit him too. (he knows how I am with Tiffany) He got this HUGE smile on his face like he was thinking "OH GOD Tiffany sunglasses!" lol. He looked at some of them and one pair was $380 and he says "$380? That's not bad" and Im thinking "WHAAAAAT?" lol

Anyway after screwing around in the sunglass store we were about to leave the mall and I was making my way to Tiffany. Oh was I excited. But wait, OH NO! They had just closed and the employees were walking out of the store. "NOOOOOOOO!" Now I was upset. We always go to Tiffany last when at the mall, and I MISSED IT. ARRRRG!!! lol (I think my boyfriend likes doing this to me to build up my excitement or something.) So I said well, I'll have to settle for looking in the windows. My boyfriend looked too and I didn't even make him.

So I saw the gorgeous Diamonds by the Yard necklaces strewn around the display neckline calling out my name. My reply? "I know, I love you too! One day my love, we will be together!" lol. In another window I saw the lovely Legacy with a pink sapphire center stone along with Legacy bands with diamonds and pink sapphires. I showed my boyfriend because his birthstone is a sapphire and he has never seen/heard of pink sapphires before. Another window, Tiffany Celebration bands. OOOOH

So we were leaving and a lovely woman who works at Tiffany was walking out of the mall at the same time we were. Waiting for the elevator together, I turned to her and said "Oh man I was just on my way to see you guys but you were closed!"

She told me they were closing early because at the beginning of the day before opening, there was a gentleman waiting anxiously outside the door, so they opened early just for him. My boyfriend asked me who she was and I told him she worked there, they all know me in there so that's why I was talking to her. lol
Anyhow, in the car my boyfriend said "We can come back soon, don't worry. Maybe we can come back next month!" Also, I forgot, I wasn't there in Feb. HE was because he bought me a surprise Valentine gift. Last time I was in Tiffany was in December when I got more perfume. ARRRRG! I want to go so badly. Well, it's not the end of the world (cause I go there anyway) and when I do go back, I will let you know about my adventure. I STILL want my finger measured and I STILL want to play in Novo heaven for a while. I just hope it's sooner rather than later.

star sparkle- Im sure he just feels drained from all his work for your gorgeous e-ring! Im sure in a little while, he will be ready to purchase wedding bands.
