Hello Everyone after five weeks i have finally picked up my girlfriends ring, i had it custom made for her, i picked the diamonds, the colour, the shank design, the setting type and height. I Like it a lot, what do you think?

0.80 Carat Centre Stone, Very good Cut, H Colour (Faces Up Very White no Yellow can be seen!) 0.25 carats on the channel set shank so
1 x Full Carat of Diamond on this ring.

The Setting is a Tiffany Setting 7.3mm Raised
All in 18 carat white Gold
Shank Design has the shoulder tapered in towards the diamond (Gives a nice appearance of the diamond being bigger)

I am taking my girlfriend to Prague for a romantic getaway on 8th June, I hope she says yes i will update with further news when i get back I love this girl so i wanted to make her happy. I asked her what she wanted in a ring and pieced it together and had a custom one made for her (she hasnt got a clue!)

I met up with Arcadian at Intergem yesterday and I picked up this fellow from an antique dealer there. The center diamond is about a .95ct transitional cut, the black pieces are onyx that have been cut to fit and the setting is platinum. The dealer estimated that the setting was made around the 1940s or 1950s.

I asked her on April 30th 2011 and she said YES!!!! I custom designed this ring for Leah. I had the band made at Pat Scott Jewelers in Grosse Pointe, MI. He made a custom mold, and also suppied the Sapphires. The Diamond is a .664 Carat purchased from INFINITY Diamonds. I purchased it through Wink Jones, Aka HighperformanceDiamonds.com I hope you all enjoy the pictures!!! feel FREE to comment...and Yes I like to brag about it!!

Just found this thread and spent (many, many, many, many) hours going through the thread and WOW! There are so many lovely rings out there! Giving me a lot of ideas for the future! :naughty:

Anyways, after lurking for so long, I thought I'd finally post up my rings ... (future) wedding ring + engagement ring and the promise ring that he gave me back when he first asked me to be his girlfriend! :twirl: :twirl:

Wedding ring = E-F, VS, 0.297ctw 18K white gold eternity ring
Engagement ring = F, VS2, 0.4ct 18K white gold (GIA, excellent cut, polish and symmetry) solitaire
Promise ring = uncertified 0.3ct 18K yellow gold solitaire

Wow your engagement ring looks much bigger than .4ct! Amazing what an excellent cut makes, whats your hand size if you don't mind me asking?

My left ring finger is a UK size G which translates to around a US size 3.5 (I think). I do have tiny hands! It's a royal pain to find rings, bracelets etc that fit. Everything has to be resized .. sigh! :((

I think her E ring is .4 ct. ?? but her promising ring the one in YG is .30 ct. that is why look bigger. They are so pretty and look very delicate!

I've been a lurker here but this thread has really made me appreciate "smaller" diamonds. Here's my semi-new ring!

Thanks Yssie and luckky for your super sweet comments :)!
My fiance did a great job incorporating everything that I like when he selected this ring. It looks like the .10ctw three-stone promise ring he gave me years ago but even more beautiful. I feel very fortunate!

The setting is Tacori and it has pave diamonds on the head and the two small accent stones on the shank. The setting is .16ctw G/VS.

Beautiful ring blueberry11! I love the profile and the 3 surprise diamonds!

Hi everyone,

Thought I would add to the list of "Under 1ct" beauties. First, please excuse my wrinkly middle-age hands. ;(

For our 22nd wedding anniversary my hubby and I decided that my dream of having a solitaire and new wedding band should come true. We were saving for a house when we got married and just plain gold bands had to be enough.

Thanks to PS for all the wonderful information prior to buying my beauties. We stuck to a budget and I was able to put together this wonderful set.

Solitaire: AGS000, .62ct, G, SI1, RB, ideal cut, HCA 1.0, from JA. Setting WG timeless also from JA.
Wedding band: Half-way eternity, WG, .33ctw, G-H, SI1 from EternityD

My ring size is a 4.

I am very, very happy :appl: with my set and look. I've been waiting a long time! They complement each other beautifully. Great sparkle and one doesn't over power the other. I will have to purchase a 1mm spacer to go between e-ring and band to prevent diamond on prong rubbing.

I just  LOVE  my new rings!

happilyengaged -- I too LOVE your E-ring! It's so delicate and lovely. Would you please share with us where you had the setting done? And more pics please!

diamante-girl: Love your new set!! Happy 22nd anniversary --- that's something to celebrate for!!

AHH! We finally just ordered my ring last night! It should be here the 9th. But until then, here's the specs:

.6 something cts...I think it might have been .63. Measures about 5.6 mm. Which should be plenty on my 3.75 finger =).
E Color
SI2 clarity (eye clean)
GIA Ex/Vg/Vg
Strong blue fluorescence

Here is my white gold ring with platinum head in a tiffany setting. Ring purchased from whiteflash.
Approx 0.8 carats, I have received lots of compliments about how large and sparkly it is!
