I thought my e-ring should finally get the thread it deserves! I've had it for about 6 months, my choice after getting engaged, but was always a bit embarrassed because it was set so high. I like low-set rings, but I wanted a flush fit wedding band, so it had to be somewhat high, but originally it was set about 1.5mm above the setting, and I hated the profile view. I've just had it reset lower, and now it's perfect!

The stats:
0.58 D VS2 Marquise (GIA)
8.83 x 4.39 x 2.59 mm
Table 60%, depth 59.0%, G/VG Polish/Sym
Channel set palladium setting

I'm finally married and able to wear my wedding band!

It is a 7 stone made up of F/G VS 7 pointers. For reference, my solitaire is .51 G VS2 H&A.

I know PS "rules" dictate that I should have chosen a small, slim band, but I just fell in love with the size of these stones! I love that it is substantial enough to be worn alone or as part of a collection of stacking rings.

I didn't realise just how dirty these rings were until I uploaded the pics. I will be back with more as soon as I have cleaned them!

My upgrade came (a lot) sooner than expected! See the link below for the backstory.

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/what-would-you-do-upgrade-halo-add-bands.161279/page-2

My very new husband and I (about 3 weeks we have now been married) are in a much better financial position than when he proposed, and rather than have me wait until later in life to upgrade my engagement ring he encouraged me to do it now. I can't even explain how much it means to me that he has encouraged and supported this, I know a ring is just an object, but it, and his sacrifice means so much to me for reasons that I can't even fathom!

I now have to admit that I'm now a Tiffany lover because I couldn't bring myself to buy anything but. I spent literally under 5 minutes picking my ring, which is quite funny considering the years I spent thinking about wedding bands and the like!! I just walked in and chose what visually pleased me, I tried on 3 rings but each time leaned back towards the ribbon. I had the budget to go up to about .90ct with higher specs but I felt that the ribbon ring, with all the "fruit" suited my personality better, looked bigger on my hand anyhow and looked more unique which is ultimately what I've always wanted, I don't like having a ring that is too similar than the next person.

So there you have it, I am totally satisfied, my set is now perfect in every way, I absolutely love it, couldn't be happier and wouldn't change a thing! It's the perfect style, size, everything and it feels so ME. My only problem now is I am too scared to wear it in front of family and friends, they will wonder how we could have afforded this straight after the wedding and they will think that we wasted so much money and that hubby caved in to my nagging... and that I'm horrible hehe all of which are true, (ahem) but anyway, I'm really not sure when or how I'm ever going to break this news smoothly! Luckily, I have a less judgmental forum like Pricescope to show off my happiness in the meantime

Get ready for a tonne of photos... center stone is H VVS2. Whilst I was waiting for my ring to be resized I searched for ribbon rings on the internet and didn't find a lot of photos so I'm including as many different angles as possible for any others who may be interested in the ribbon ring! (more to come)

So I've been following everyones posts and now I'm able to join in!!

I'd always looked at Tiffany & Co. rings online and though that they were gorgeous! I always thought that they would be way out of our price range but when we went into the store they were so helpful and considerate of our budget. The consultant worked with us and brought in many rings and was finally able to find one that worked with our style and budget!

Center stone:
.72ct
H color
VS2 clarity

Side stones:
10 side stones
.37 tcw

Metal
Platinum

I absolutely love it and am so thankful to my fiance for taking such time and consideration to pick out the perfect ring!

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone in Rockytalk who helped me to pick out wonderful stones last year!

And long story short, I know 30's anniversary is actually pearl wedding, but i still decided to give them diamond rings.
And sorry I actually only have the picture of my mother rings, because my father's ring is ... still under the process of re-making...

This is a 0.33ct H SI1 H&A stone I got from James Allen, just think this is a wonderful setting, that really enlarges the stone visually, so would like to share with you, here you go

I feel like this pendant was kismet. I had been looking for an OEC for a pendant for quite some time and this one turned up in the JbEG sneak peek email on my birthday.

Everything was perfect for me, it was the size, colour, clarity OEC that I wanted, the style of the pendant was perfect too and it was right in my budget so i snapped it up!

Erica described it as a 0.87ct Old European cut diamond (later style/tranny) that is aproximately M colour and VS clarity, set in a 14k white gold bezel pendant with milgrain. The chain is 17.5 inches long with another jump loop at 15.5.

With the bezel it measures 6.56mm. IRL it looks a bit smaller than i was hoping but on the plus side it makes my studs look huge!

It's a very pretty stone and i am having fun getting to know her. He personality is so different from my MRB's, but in a good way.

Ok onto the photos!!

Here it is - the real thing! Dh gave it to me at Outback on Friday night He was also very pleased with it. Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to have my 4mm wedding band made slimmer, 3mm, to match the shank of this new e-ring. For now, I'm wearing it with a 2mm band I had. I'd really appreciate any input!

Hi everyone!
I have been a fan for a long time, and now I finally get to share not only my good news, but my gorgeous new ring! My fiance proposed to me on December 30, 2011 at the site of our first official date 8 years ago. After the proposal, he surprised me even further by taking me to Single Stone where I eventually selected my dream ring. Single Stone did a fantastic job with my ring, and after 1 month of patient anticipation, I finally have my engagement ring. I couldn't be happier, and can't help but share my joy with all of you!

My ring:
Single Stone style #NLR07-71-4
It is set in a white gold mounting, with a light milgrain bezel setting for the center stone.

Center Stone:
Carat: .94
Shape and cut: Old European Cut
Color: J
Clarity: VS2
Size: 6

Hi all!!

I got in my .91 OEC today set in a white gold fishtail prong setting by Amcor Designs. It's a gorgeous stone....both eye and loupe clean. My jeweler said it could be a vvs2. She also said the color is pretty high for an OEC...a low I or high J. I love the simplicity of the setting. It's well made and I had a good experience with the company. I also included comparison shots with my 1.5 (J, SI2) center stone halo e-ring and .74 (F, SI2) center three stone halo ring.

Enjoy! I know my camera (and skills) are not the best. Please humor me!

Hi: Here's my engagement ring. All info is in the title! When I received it, it had a six-prong basket setting which I felt overwhelmed the diamond, so I had it changed to my beloved bezel setting. In this case, a half-bezel. It's an amazing cut, so the photos don't really capture the sparkle. It's a size 6, on my 4.5 finger. I need to have it sized and in the meantime I wear a 1.5mm silver band over my wedding set to stop my wedding and engagement rings falling off. My wedding ring is a plain 2mm platinum band. I know this set isn't as "wow" as some, but I like the simplicity of a bezeled solitaire and plain band, as I wear a lot of black and navy, and I think it looks chic if not the biggest in town!

I continue to try to improve my photographs of my girlfriend's soon-to-be ring.

Stone has a shallow crown (32 degrees) and deep pavilion (41.4 degrees) and is a .68 GIA VG D SI2 (eye clean).

Band is a simple knife edge with satining on alternate sides.

First three pictures are from my early attempts to take photos of it.

My original ering was purchased by my hubby, the proposal was a surprise so I had no input on the ring, and while I love the man to death and he has perfectly classic and respectable tastes, he spent about 5 minutes thinking about and picking a simple solitaire setting. It's what his mom has, which is what he went by, but my tastes are a little quirkier, so I always wanted a setting that was a little more unique and me.

I recently reset my ering diamond into the Van Crayenest setting, plat model 812. I thought I'd pair it with my Victor Canera band since I do love the mixed metal look, but it just didn't look right. Believe it or not, the Canera looked a bit bulky yet flat by comparison. Luckily for me, I was able to snag the Leon Mege eternity band from Jeaniefish, and I think it just goes wonderfully with the Ering. Both are delicate and architectural , and incredible examples of workmanship.

I am wearing a temp spacer which I dug out of my jewelry box, but I think it works well. I don't know if I'll get a platinum one just so it matches the other rings or just stick with this since I think it looks nice.

Here is my beeeeautiful vintage platinum RHR with two .27 carat round brilliant diamonds (E color, VS1) and a center sapphire that is approximately .75 carat. It is marked Tiffany, but I have not had it verified with them (I hope to do so one day). I got a regular appraisal on it and I was very happy with the results, but I do want to have it looked at by Tiffany. It seems to me that this might be from the 1930's or so. I got it on Etsy from a jewelery dealer who got it at an estate sale from a wealthy family in the state of Washington (logging industry family). I love the sparkle and brilliance of the diamonds and the milgrain detail.

I've been wanting a simple solitaire diamond pendant for awhile now, and I finally have it!
The diamond is a .72ct G AGS0, Lazare Kaplan round that was formerly set in my Van Craeyest ering setting (which now houses my .9ct diamond, F diamond).

I kept debating who I might want to set it, but eventually just went with fast and simple and had it done by the same local jeweler who reset my ering. It took 4 days to order the bezel piece, and 40 minutes to set it, and no needing to worry about shipping a diamond to and fro! I picked out a thin wheat chain since the standard little link ones can get kinked when stored. All in all, the price of the whole thing still came in at less than I could find anywhere online, and I got to support a local family business, yay!

I wanted something simple, clean, low maintenance, that wouldn't flip. And I thought this sliding bezel design fit the bill.

And I love her.
I posted in the Show Me the Bling forum, but thought I'd post her here, too. I'd been waiting to join the ranks of the Pricescoper's (been lurking for over 4 years..) until I had an old stone to share (well, any stone for that matter ), and on Christmas, I finally got it. So here she is:

"A transitional cut diamond of about .20 carats (H-I color; VS1-SI1 clarity) with a white gold collet surrounded by twelve (12) shaped sapphires. Wings of white gold accent each shoulder with a triangle shaped sapphire." from The Three Graces.

I bought this diamond from James Allen because I thought it was an excellent price, 18 months ago. It's a Hearts and Arrows AGS triple 0, scores 0.8 on the HCA, weighs 0.52, and is a D colour. It's also an SI2, but whatever inclusions there are, they are white and I have never been able to find them even with my x30 loupe. It's super, super sparkly, which you'd expect from a cut like that. The diamond cost $1,050, which I thought was amazing for over half a carat, D, and triple 000 cut.

I used an existing white gold chain that I'd had for years, and EB Horn in Boston made the bezel.

Since we didn't have much besides a lot of student loan debt when we got married 10 years ago, DH promised to get me a ring when for our 10th anniversary. When the time came, I looked through tons of websites and jewellery stores to get ideas (unfortunately before I discovered pricescope) and decided that I wanted to get something made because a lot of stores I went to said that they would have to order my ring due to the sizing anyways. Even though there were a lot of solitaires with some pretty settings that I liked, I knew I wanted to have something unique, but still classic. I eventually decided on a twisted band setting with milgrain detail.

The centre stone is 0.70 ct G VS2 VG cut, Ex polish, Ex symmetry and the white side diamonds are E/F VS ideal melee, the pink diamonds are also natural untreated colour, ideal cut and polish. My ring size is 4.5 and the ring is 19kt white gold.

After discovering my solitaire wasnt an omc as I had been told it was, I decided to sell it and get a ring that spoke to me as it is, vs planning to reset my solitaire to make it something that would speak to me.

Here she is!! .35 round brilliant center, with baguettes channeling it on either side. I have a diamond on each side of the basket, and diamonds on the front and back sides of the shank.

She's beautiful!!!
