where did you shop for your undergarments? i was thinking about spanx, but i don''t see any that have a supportive strapless bra and stomach/booty shaping....i saw one strapless option but it look like it would flatten the girls down, which is not exactly the look i am going for! i want to get this before my first fitting.

Nordstrom''s is great. Their associates know how to accurately measure you and they have a good selection of undergarments.

Almost any good department store or Vicki''s. Now... I don''t have faith in Vicki''s measurements, and I think the products are overpriced for the quality... BUT they do have some decent shapewear.

Ordering UGs offline is tricky, unless you''ve tried the item on in-person. The last thing you want is a shaper that digs in in all the wrong places, or is too loose and doesn''t actually shape at all.

yeah this sounds complicated...i guess i should start shopping very soon. ive never heard of vickis! where is vickis?

I think Pilsn was referring to Victoria''s Secret with vicki''s - Pilsn please correct me if I am wrong.

I second going to nordstrom''s or other high end department store. They should have the largest selection of nice undergarments and will be help you figure out what the best combination is for you. Victoria''s Secret does have some shapewear, but I think the selection will be better at a department store.

And if you are wanting spanx or something like it, ask to try it on. I bought a pair and guessed the correct size just from the guide on the back of the box and they don''t fit very well on me - they might be too big because they don''t do much shaping at all

the secret outfitted me...

You could also have the seamstress sew in some cups versus having to get a bra; just a thought.

vicki''s=victoria''s secret...of course! i was looking at the saks website and found what looks perfect...except it''s $300!! hahaha noo way! it''s not even pretty. i''ll go in nordstrom! good idea!

What does your dress look like? That would help us help you =)

Oh wait, I just saw your shoe thread. You can avoid the flattening effect by getting two pieces, something for the bust and something for the lower half. I second the idea of having cups sewn into the dress so you don't have to worry about a bra. I did that with my dress and it worked great, even though my dress didn't have any support of its own. It would work even better on your dress because it looks like there might be some boning in the bodice.
