Unusual prongs award

I nominate this lovely especimen. Note that the stone is set - this is not a semi-mount.

Since I don''t want to divert focus from the prongs, I will refrain from mentioning all the other crookery in the ad.

Any one else would like to nominate other candidates for the Ugly Prong award?

I guess I don't think the prongs are that bad.

The ones that really bother though me are the ones that looks like a they coming in and digesting the ring.

I know what you mean - huge prongs that just cover the stone right up. Blerg!

My peeves with those prongs are:
1- they are way too tall.
2- one of the prongs is taller than the others
3- another is loose
4- they are badly finished
