Not sure if anyone remembers my story...
I was planning on getting married June 20th of this year at an aquarium. Lots of $$. Then we realized how crazy it was getting and changed our plans to October and having a DW to Jamaica.
March, I found out I was pregnant. And due 2 weeks after our planned October wedding.
We had to change our wedding plans--and now I''m planning a wedding for June 7th.
whew!
Here is where I am now....
Booked the ceremony site, it will be an outdoor deck on a Creek at the Aquarium. We stuck with the aquarium because we had already put a deposit down on previously.
Bought a Mori Lee Bridesmaid Dress...wasn''t the one we originally wanted--but couldn''t get it rushed in time. We actually wound up loving the new dress even more, so it completely worked out!
I bought my dress, wound up at David''s Bridal because we knew we would have rushing issues and I''m on a budget now. I like the dress, but don''t love it. We had to buy a few sizes bigger to make up for the baby bump. I have a feeling I will love it once the dress actually fits me.
The reception site is booked---I work at a retirement community and we have this beautiful new dining hall. A couple that lives there were so excited for us and offered to sponsor our wedding so that we could have access to the room and our catering department.
My boss, is going to cut us a deal on our food and will be getting us an ice sculpture!
Our catering manager--is going to do the flowers for us at cost! We will be doing tall centerpieces, the banquet room has huge ceilings and we think the tall centerpieces will look fantastic.
We have a meeting with our officiant the first week of May.
Seriously, everyone has been so helpful and getting us to pull this wedding off so quickly and to make it as close to our dream wedding as possible.
I still can''t believe it''s almost here!
