Well alrighty then!

How about more of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark's jewels. I think she has the best jewels of any of the crown princesses in Europe.

Some super aquamarine and diamond earrings.
LadyAmythyst, thanks for posting such eye candy

.

A quick question since I'm not versed in the royal traditions. When you say she "has the best jewels," do you mean she actually owns them now that they were gifted to her or are they just a loaner for the time that she is a crown princess?

Thank you LadyAmythyst!! Mary's jewels are stunning , and so is she!!! Absolutley lovely!!!

A quick question since I''m not versed in the royal traditions. When you say she ''has the best jewels,'' do you mean she actually owns them now that they were gifted to her or are they just a loaner for the time that she is a crown princess?
I guess I mean both.

Mary actually personally owns the ruby parure. She also has the best jewels to pick from in the royal collection. Many of the other crown princesses don''t have very much serious jewelry at all. To the point that their jewelry isn''t an accurate reflection of their status as crown princesses. You''ll see what I mean when I start posting some of the other women.

Historically the Danish monarchy has been in a position to acquire or inherit many of the jewels which once belonged to the now defunct royal houses in Europe. They have close ties therough marriages and other historical quirks (for instance, the "Greek" royals actually come from a branch of the Danish Royal house and are not Greek at all!) to the Russian, German, English, and Greek Royals. Since the Russian, Greek and German monarchies have collapsed, the Danes and the Brits have come in for quite a windfall jewels wise.

Also, I might add that Mary has little in the way of competition for the Danish Royal jewels. There are no daughters or Princesses of the royal blood within the immediate Danish Royal Family - so Mary doesn''t really have to share. Also, Frederik''s younger brother Joachim has been divorced from his first wife and is now engaged again. I highly doubt that his new wife to be Marie will be personally given any of the royal jewels. She will undoubtedly have to have a tiara but she will either have to buy a new made one or borrow from the royal collection. There will probably be one that is sort of set aside for Marie''s use but it will not be given to her.

Royals are notoriously mean in terms of giving away their jewels. They have to be to keep the collection together don''t they? So if you want really great jewels you''ve got to marry the Crown Prince not one of the younger sons. And even then it appears that in some of the royal families (Norway, the Netherlands) the crown princesses will have to wait until they become Queens in order to get the really great stuff! Mary''s ownership of the ruby parure is a pretty unusual situation actually.

HI:

Mary is as beautiful as her jewels are stunning. Thanks LadyAm!

cheers--Sharon

I agree! I have never seen Mary before, but she is lovely and wears her jewels well!

LadyAmy, I almost think you should start a new thread called Royal Jewels or something to set it apart. A lot of people may not find these pictures buried in such a very long thread!

But keep them coming! I find it very interesting!

*sigh* I totally want to be a princess now. Is that so wrong?

I find it very interesting as well. Would love to see more royal jewels!

She is soooo pretty! She has a lovely smile and a tiny waist, and her gowns are so elegant. Those aqua earrings are amazing...I truly hope her fairy tale does have a happily ever after. It is not always the stuff of dreams, and even all the jewels and palaces cannot make a bad marriage worth being in. I think she looks wonderful and happy.

Bring it on!!! I channel a wee bit of princess in me, always thought I was one in my house (or at least I acted like one, according to my mother!!) so I love living vicariously...

They are reporting in the papers here "unhappily ever after" as a Danish Royal reporter has published a new book saying that they are unhappy and that Mary is struggling. I don''t beleive a word of it to see these two together here in Australia when they recently visited her family shows a young couple deeply in love with each other and thriving as parents. Not mention the actual wedding ceromony which was broadcast here ''live'' (this is so funny really we are that desperate to have an Aussie princess lol) the look of love particualr from Frederick to Mary was the most compelling and *sigh romantic I have ever seen.
She is gorgeous with jewels or without IMO and they met in a pub in Sydney during the Olympics in 2000!

More of the Danish Royal Family Jewels...

This is the ering that Crown Prince Frederick gave to his wife Mary Donaldson. It is (again) in the colors of the Danish flag, red and white. The whole flag thing is a long standing tradition in Denmark. Anyhow, Mary''s ring is an emerald cut diamond flanked by emerald cut rubies on either side.

I''m sure I missed it, but do you know what size the stones are. I think her ring is pretty.

Ahh, where do I find a crown prince?

Are the stones for the parure from the royal collection? I can''t imagine what a task it would be to source so many beautiful stones.

Here is another shot of the ruby ring...It is very pretty.

My Favorite is Jennifer Garner. I love her eternity ring. It''s beautiful and I love that she pairs it with other bands that have meaning to her. It sparkles but it isn''t overly done. I''ve seen her other Engagement ring but I don''t know the size of it. I just love her style.. Everything... she even wears the cartier orchid I love.

I''ll add a few pics to show you her style.. I hope my fiance also picks up on the fact I''d love anything she wears..lol

This set is perfect to me... but I would love an engagement ring to switch out from time to time.. so I could look classicly married..lol

She looks great; thanks for the pics!!!

Diamond - I think you are right, I probably should start a new thread. Does anyone know how to move the old posts over to a new thread?

Sorry, I know we know this girl''s old set by heart, but darn if it aint purty!

I love Shania Twains music, but am not too fond of this set...

Picky....moi...!

Eva with xtra Bling...

Damn fine!

evabling34.jpg

Not that we couldn''t see it coming...

Eva seems to prefer a slimline eternity to her ginormous 3row bling extravagana wedding band. Eva, pop it in the post, I will adopt it!

thanks god! That ering is too gorgeous to be relegated to second fiddle to her gaudy wband. It looks like she got with the program and got a thinner wband to wear with the ering. Yeah. Me feel happy now.

Agh, I double posted! The shame........

Forgive me, I am new to the celebrity thread and it is very late here.

Now, am I more jealous that she looks like that just driving the car, or that she has oggle worthy Bling?

It must be 50/50!

Have we seen this? Demi looks like she is sporting a rather large Emerald. (see how it got a capital ''E'')
