Well alrighty then!
How about more of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark's jewels. I think she has the best jewels of any of the crown princesses in Europe.
Some super aquamarine and diamond earrings.
I guess I mean both.Date: 10/12/2007 10:08:40 AM

A quick question since I''m not versed in the royal traditions. When you say she ''has the best jewels,'' do you mean she actually owns them now that they were gifted to her or are they just a loaner for the time that she is a crown princess?
They are reporting in the papers here "unhappily ever after" as a Danish Royal reporter has published a new book saying that they are unhappy and that Mary is struggling. I don''t beleive a word of it to see these two together here in Australia when they recently visited her family shows a young couple deeply in love with each other and thriving as parents. Not mention the actual wedding ceromony which was broadcast here ''live'' (this is so funny really we are that desperate to have an Aussie princess lol) the look of love particualr from Frederick to Mary was the most compelling and *sigh romantic I have ever seen.Date: 10/13/2007 12:05:18 AM

She is soooo pretty! She has a lovely smile and a tiny waist, and her gowns are so elegant. Those aqua earrings are amazing...I truly hope her fairy tale does have a happily ever after. It is not always the stuff of dreams, and even all the jewels and palaces cannot make a bad marriage worth being in. I think she looks wonderful and happy.
Bring it on!!! I channel a wee bit of princess in me, always thought I was one in my house (or at least I acted like one, according to my mother!!) so I love living vicariously...

More of the Danish Royal Family Jewels...
This is the ering that Crown Prince Frederick gave to his wife Mary Donaldson. It is (again) in the colors of the Danish flag, red and white. The whole flag thing is a long standing tradition in Denmark. Anyhow, Mary''s ring is an emerald cut diamond flanked by emerald cut rubies on either side.
Ahh, where do I find a crown prince?Date: 10/12/2007 4:35:01 PM

Royals are notoriously mean in terms of giving away their jewels. They have to be to keep the collection together don''t they? So if you want really great jewels you''ve got to marry the Crown Prince not one of the younger sons. And even then it appears that in some of the royal families (Norway, the Netherlands) the crown princesses will have to wait until they become Queens in order to get the really great stuff! Mary''s ownership of the ruby parure is a pretty unusual situation actually.
She looks great; thanks for the pics!!!Date: 10/13/2007 11:20:46 PM

I love a woman who can wear diamonds and not look like she is trying so hard...
