Upgrade diamond color

I would like to upgrade my round 1.5 diamond stone from color I to a color G. I want to keep the size and clarity the same. What do I need to do? Can I go into a reputable jeweler and "exchange" my stone for another one and pay the difference in price? Thanks

Does the original seller of the diamond have a 'trade-up' policy? If so, you might be in luck... Otherwise, I hope Pricescope will help further, as usual.

The best approach is to take the diamond to the vendor who you purchased the diamond from, you're not going to get another jeweler to buy back your used diamond for anything close to what you paid for it, there is no reason for them to do so really...
