Please share your experiences upgrading the stones with any of the vendor ... how difficult was it or how easy was it to get a good deal ..

Upgrading with High Performance diamonds was easy and quick and I have done it a few times.

Upgrading with blue Nile was a little more than with HPD but was also good but after the first upgrade, (two different stones), I’m now stuck because I don’t want to spend double again.

Upgraded my studs with WF, the upgrade itself is easy, but the setting didn’t come as I wanted (not their fault, its just didn’t match me, personally). Even with all that problem (from me) WF made it super easy! From 1.3ctw to 1.8ctw and while I need to change the setting, I got another upgrade again to 2.1ctw in less than a month. WF making upgrade super easy, no one have to stuck with diamonds they feel too small/not white enough/not clear enough. Thats something that I appreciate a lot. If I can’t afford E color or VS2 now, I can get something I can enjoy now, save some money, get a better quality/bigger stone when I have more money without having to spend double the amount.

Initially I had hoped to be the proud owner of a August Vintage old cut cushion in the 2.5 carats range with a lovely warm tone diamond. Waited, waited, waited and it just didn't happen.
Switched gears, started spending way too much time becoming a lurker @alex Parks Instagram. Alex had some dreamy yellow diamonds. Even if I found something I liked, it was sold in milliseconds. There was a 3.5 carat pear that reappeared. On a lark I DM Alex and it was available, well I bought it. Then there was the 3.1 Moval K VS1 that caught my eye. Alex is a Saint, because I couldn't make up my mind. My birthday was coming up and I explained my dilemma to my DH, he gave the green light to either buy the Moval or sapphire, it was up to me. So now I have the yellow pear and the Moval and I need to design settings for both. Yippee. So I kinda of blown by the 2.5 carat mark. I am a happy camper ( sort of kinda of, still would love a stunning sapphire).

I upgraded twice with WF and it was super easy. Their upgrade policy is one of the best, and equally importantly for me, they always have a large inventory to choose from.

Just recently worked with Victor Canera and was very impressed with the process. I was skeptical at first, making such a significant purchase thru emails, but could not be more pleased. There was no comparison of quality and workmanship of our local jewelers compared to VC. I was just amazed at the quality of my hand forged setting and the sparkle of my H&A diamond is just amazing. I highly recommend VC.

I have bought diamonds and upgraded them from Whiteflash multiple times. My first pair of studs were .75 ct each stone. Then there were some gradual upgrades and now I have 1.6 cts for each stone. It really couldn't be easier and I got full value of the diamonds each time.

WF makes the upgrade process so easy! I would definitely recommend them!

OP, I can't tell from your question if you already have a diamond and are looking to upgrade it or if you are asking about which vendor you should buy a new stone from expecting that you will upgrade it later. If you are looking to buy a new stone or stones, then I can say that buying from White Flash will make a future upgrade easy and also very reasonable because of their upgrade policy. If you are really looking to upgrade a stone you already have, and can't upgrade with the original vendor, then I can't give any guidance as I have not done that.

Whiteflash is literally the best I think.

I purchased my e-ring stone back in 2008. It was called in, not their ACA's or Expert Selection. Never upgraded but just contacted them yesterday to see if it still qualified since they changed their policy. I was told absolutely!

I mean 13 years later, and this would be my first upgrade on a stone that's not even an ACA. Yet, they're still honoring a policy that changed years ago.

I can't give them enough praise for this.
