Congratulations on this amazing new diamond, @MamaBee! As a fellow 3ct F colored ACA owner, I can tell you right now.....oooooo, you gonna luuuurve it! I know it's a big ticket item, but my ACA makes me feel special every time I wear it and I know yours will do the same for you! For that alone, I think it's well worth it.

I can't WAIT to see it set and on your hand! A month you say? A MONTH?? It's gonna be a loooong January....!!

Thank you @mrs-b! I decided to let Whiteflash set it in another Valoria....It will be in 18k white gold this time. I didn’t want to ship it off right away to David. I may want tapered baguettes again but would tweak the setting a little because I don’t have to make it appear larger this time. I also like the swoop of the Valoria setting. I don’t know how I would incorporate that swoop over the diamond with baguettes on the sides. I would have remade a baguette setting three times! OMG I would also have to get different baguettes too.....They would need to match the F. I truly don’t have the energy...I told my husband there’s no way I’m shipping this diamond to David. I’ll get on a plane after Covid and hand it to him myself..Haha I’ll wear the Valoria until I decide what to do after Covid!!

NO!! I didn't! How fabulous that will be! And - if you go out to LA and see David, I'll meet you there, if you like. I'm planning on getting an apartment in LA for a couple of years, starting some time next year. I've done this before so I can be closer to my god kids, and then go back and forth between LA and Boston. I figure I have 2 more years before they're both done with their education and they move away from home, so Tim and I decided I'd rent an apartment again for those two years, and do the commuting thing again. Covid has thrown a spanner in the works, because time is ticking and I just can't go out there without getting the vaccine. But I'm really hoping to be out there by mid year, and to have at least 18 months with them.

On the up side tho, their respective GPAs have gone off the charts: my god son's GPA for his Masters program is 3.96 and my god daughter's is somewhere over 3.8 for her undergrad degree. So every cloud, I suppose....

Anyway, back to the topic....

If you do go out to DKJ, let's meet up! We could take a quick tour around the jewelry district there and have a coffee to rest and recoup! I'm sure Amy would join us, which would be fun.

Your collection just goes from strength to strength! I'm inspired by your realization that you're a one ring kinda gal, and it's made me wonder if I am, too. Maybe not just one, but perhaps not....20? With a couple more on the cooker? I wear all my bangles, and all my earrings get an airing from time to time. But I very, very rarely wear my necklaces, and a lot of my rings rarely see the light of day. I wear them all just enough to resist the urge to sell them, but I'd love to have 'my set' of rings - one wedder, one e-ring. End of story.

So who knows? I might have a big sale one day. Woo hoo!

In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to your new goodies! Can't wait!

David is such a gem...I emailed him about my bracelet being made with Bee. I’m shipping it off today. I’m also shipping off Summer to upgrade...and Libby! I looked in my jewelry box and almost had a heart attack. I only have Ashlee..the step cut halo and cluster ring left! I hope I get a good offer on Libby.
I’ll know in two days. This has been so stressful...but I’m proud of myself for selling Libby...I won’t give her away so I hope it’s a good offer so I can say goodbye to her. Gulp..

Joanne, I was just looking back to see the exact size on the new diamond. I noticed that you told them you want it set to be able to see the culet. I wanted to kind of warn you that that setting and most 6 prong solitaire settings are not meant to show the culet unless the stone was set super high. Your new stone is 3 cts and I think it would be very dangerous to set it that high. I've had stones from 1 ct to 2.3 in solitaire settings and I couldn't see the culet. I'd say the current setting is medium height, and I definitely cannot see the culet. I am just afraid if you ask them to set it like that, you'll end up asking them to remake it, because I don't think it will look good and it won't be very safe for the diamond. It's easier to whack them when they are set high. Someone else said the same thing in the last couple of weeks, and when I see it, I just feel like I should give the warning.

Haha! @missy! I just traded emails with Vera yesterday and today. She’s so nice..She keeps saying in emails that the results will be in soon. I got an email from someone else at Whiteflash the other day who told me my ring was scheduled to be shipped today! That doesn’t seem to be happening. I guess they are holding my new diamond until the AGS report comes back. I told her I don’t understand why it’s taking so long. It’s been almost a month! I know there are delay because of Covid..but I told her I sent another diamond..Libby..to GIA through the jeweler that purchased it...It was back in just under two weeks. I'm starting to get worried...I asked her to call AGS to find out what the holdup is. I haven’t heard back from her yet. I don’t want to be a pain but I’m concerned.

Well IMO you have been super patient and this is taking a very long time. Yes, we are in a pandemic situation but I don't really understand why your new ACA couldn't have been shipped to you. The diamond you are trading in had nothing happen to it and couldn't they verify that with their own eyes in the meantime while waiting? I'm sorry Joanne. You have been extraordinarily patient. Hoping it is mailed to you very very soon.

I got it today!!! I love it!!! It’s a little higher than my legato so it may take some time getting used to it. I’ll see how it goes the next few days or a week of wearing it. Will post pics later as I’m at the doctor’s appt now. Glad to hear your good news!!! @MamaBee

@mochidiamonds This is the new one..The prongs look chunky but they are blown up. It looks like my previous setting..Here’s the new one..This only shows the prongs..and the shoulders..Notice the different prong placements. The new one is 12/6..The traded in one was 11/2
