@MamaBee and @mochidiamonds sorry for the delayed response. I wasn’t able to capture good photos today but here are the ones from WF and my pics so far. I got sidetracked as when I got home and looked with the loupe, I noticed a nick in one of the prongs so I emailed my SA right away. I don’t know how it could have passed final inspection with that nick.

Thank you. My hands are all wrinkly. They look older than my age due to frequent hand washing Pre covid and even more so during covid haha.

My SA answered me right away and has forwarded my email and pictures to the service department. It is now after 5pm there and they are closed on the weekend so I probably won’t hear back until Monday. Please make sure you inspect your ring thoroughly when you get it. I’m a bit disappointed that after waiting for a month, this is what happened. I really can’t believe this passed final inspection.

Can’t wait to see yours tomorrow!

All three rings rotate unfortunately as although I have a 4-4.25 finger size, the rings are all 4.5 as I have big knuckles. They for much better without rotation in warmer weather.

@mochidiamonds This is the new one..The prongs look chunky but they are blown up. It looks like my previous setting..Here’s the new one..This only shows the prongs..and the shoulders..Notice the different prong placements. The new one is 12/6..The traded in one was 11/2

Yes, for sure. My husband thought it’s ok just to leave it alone but I think I shouldn’t settle for that. It will be a pain to send it back and wait for it again though.

I do like the setting. I feel that it’s substantial enough in platinum.

Here’s a comparison with my legato in 18k WG.

I can’t wait to see your ring. I hope yours is perfect.

@Dmndsr4evr11 and @MamaBee : thank you so much for sharing pics of your gorgeous rings! They are amazing and beautiful!! You are right, the tapering is ever so slight, hardly noticeable. Do you think it’s because the over 2 ct diamond size overhangs the tapered portion essentially covering it? I noticed vwbarb’s beautiful rose gold ring had a little more visible tapering.

@Dmndsr4evr11, the diamond size looks perfect on you, what’s your ring size? I noticed both of you have rings with different style prongs, did you tell WF what you wanted or did they choose? If you chose, what did you tell them? It’s pretty neat to see the same ring on the same day, but with different prongs. I’m so sorry to hear about the nicked prong, that would be frustrating especially since you’ve waited this long already. Hope they can smooth it out and get it back to you in lightening speed.

Does your Valoria have a donut? It looks like your wedding bands sit pretty flush. Sorry for so many questions.

I had a deadline for myself to tell them today, but my heart couldn’t pull the trigger, I’m so glad I got to see your beautiful hand pics, this will really help me decide.

@mochidiamond- interesting point about the size of the diamond making it seem less tapered if over 2 ct. Maybe but hard to tell. The tapering is very subtle. I’m not a fan of too tapered look either.

My finger size is 4-4.25 and my ring size is 4.5 to go over my knuckles easier. My rings do rotate in the winter months but fits better in the summer. I don’t like my rings too snug.

I asked WF to make the prongs delicate but remain durable so they look a little smaller than @mamabee’s.

The Valoria does not have a donut. My bands are small and low so I wasn’t worried not having a donut.

Thank you. I am pleasantly surprised. Happy over all. I’ll take more pics this weekend. It’s definitely not icy white like a D but I am more color- tolerant and happy with the color. H color is definitely the lowest I’d ever go.

It seems that way, @MamaBee. Guess I just got lucky that it’s a high H from what it looks like. I’m sad to have to send her back to get the prong fixed after waiting a month for it. I wonder what could have done that nick/ mark. It seems less tint on the side view from my previous smaller H that’s supposed to be a true H. I’ll see how it goes in different lighting.
