Hi
Bought a box of various items at auction And these two stones appeared in the box.
Know nothing about such stones.
Someone who knows if there is any value here.
Know it's difficult with photo appraisal but an approx value? :)
Thank you
Jon

1. Both labs are unknowns. That said, let's proceed anyway.
2. "Blue sapphire": It claims to be blue but the picture doesn't show a blue stone. In any case, the brief states that the colour is enhanced, although does not specify how.
3. "Topaz": the brief states that it is quartz, not topaz and again, the colour is enhanced, but does not specify how.

Based on points 1 through 3; I'd say both stones are worth very little.

Some of the stuff I say here may seem harsh, but it's to prevent people from making these mistakes.

This stuff is junk. They're neat little trinkets that sell for <$10 on eBay but they are not "gemstones". They aren't rare and they aren't precious.

If a sapphire is completely opaque, like the one in the picture, it's not called a "sapphire". It's just corundum. Those "labs" are owned by the sellers themselves! Regardless, they are honest (in this case). "Hue enhanced" means the stones are dyed or coated and don't have color otherwise.

The "topaz" is quartz, it says so on the certificate. Quartz is as common as a mineral can be and unless it's a stunning, large, clean, untreated natural amethyst/citrine/ametrine, it doesn't have much value.

Based on similar eBay listings, I would put a $10 valuation on these.
