veil and tiara question

Hi Carebear!
I wore my veil on top of my head as well, and put a rhinestone headband smack dab in front of it. Imagine my tiara to look like just a simple row of rhinestones, kind of like draping a tennis bracelet over my head
I originally bought a tiara like that with combs but for me, the way it was designed, I found it sat better on my head if I wore it flat on my head like a tiara versus a headband. And I didnt want to do that. I had to bend it a bit to make it able to fit like a headband and then it didnt look right. Also, my hair is thin, so the combs kept sticking out and didnt do me much good. So I purchased the exact same style in a headband instead. It worked for me better because it fit flush to the veil on top of my head. What my stylist did was weaved the ends of the headband into my hairstyle do you could not see the ends of it, then secured it with bobby pins. Crazy thing about the headband I had was that the prongs on the rhinestones "latched" onto the netting of my tulle in the veil! The headband and veil almost became one unit. I was freaking out but it kind of helped it stay in place.
The tiaras that I saw had combs that were at the ends so they would be tucked away on the sides of your head, whereas the veils had the comb that secured in your hair on the top of your head.
Maybe someone else can chime in if they wore a tiara style instead and how it worked for them!
