Venting

My bf and I went to the Jimmy Buffet concert at Wrigley Field last night. We are by no means big fans, but had never been to a show thought it would be fun. It was the first concert ever at wrigley and we are season ticket holders and wanted to go to enjoy the atmosphere. The first half of the concert was great. It was amazing to see how many people were there, and just how alive the city was.

Then the guys sitting next to us started talking to 2 random girls, one very pretty and thin and the other pretty and the other not quite as attractive. They apparantly had bad seats so the guys asked them to sit in there seats with them. If you have been to a baseball game, you know the seats arent that wide and at a concert you are all standing up. Needless to say they kept bumping and hitting me and spilling beer on me, somewhat annoying, but then my boyfriend noticed that the pretty blonde who had just introduced herself to this guy started making out with him, and she had a ring on her left finger. He wasnt sure if it was an engagement ring because the stone was so small, I assured him it was.

Anyway, once I saw she was engaged i got twice as annoyed. There are all of us so patiently waiting for our rings and she has hers and this is how she acts???? I''m not sure why it frustrated me so, but it did...

Not sure if this is where i should vent, but it seemed most appropriate.

I know how you feel. Little stuff like that is significant when you want something badly enough. I am "waiting for mine" and I have turned into a crazy woman. I keep noticing other women''s rings, comparing myself and my relationship to others sometimes and feeling like "what is wrong with me, what does she have that I don''t?" Total crazy woman, I know. At least when it does happen, we won''t take it for granted.

First off..I''m glad you enjoyed the concert. I''m very jealous. The seats at Wrigley small??....no way!!

Secondly, I see that kind of stuff way too much. It''s pretty sad. I was just at a labor day party where some guy was making out with another girl while his fiance was in the bathroom!! Makes you sick, doesn''t it??
