Hi Ladies! Technically SO and I aren''t engaged yet (the ring has been bought and I am awaiting the proposal) But we have set a date for Nov of next year. So I had decided to start looking around at dresses to get an idea of what I think I want, Since I can be very picky and am USUALLY not extremely girlie. So I thought it could take a while to find that PERFECT dress and I didnt want the stress of waiting til a few mos before the wedding to find a dress. So I had no intentions of buying this early...BUT wanted to look. (Sorry this is so long) ANYWAY... I originally was looking to spend no more then like $1000 on a dress and then recently decided I didnt feel right and couldnt justify MYSELF spending that kind of money on something I will never wear again. So I started looking on Ebay just to see what type of second hand stuff may be out there, and came to realize that there were a lot os sample dresses New With Tags for fairly cheap. And Tues night I came across the PERFECT dress for me! It was an A-line dress Ivory in color and looks kinda simple from far away, yet has BEAUTIFUL detailing up close and an asymetrical bust which makes it a little unique and differant w/o being over the top. The dress was listed as originally $1000 and the starting bid was $95. No bidders yet and 21hrs til auctions end...SO I BID AND WON! WOOHOO! Shipping was a lil high tho. Flat rate of $28. SO total for the dress and shipping is $123.00
And it had measurements listed on the auction so it SHOULD fit.

its hard to tell in the pics but the re is also beading mixed in w/the embroidery. Thanx for lookin! I should have it within a week. Im sending out the payment today!

I literally almost spat out my iced coffee when I read your post and saw the price and then proceeded to look at the pictures. Thats AMAZING!!! Good for you on being such a savvy shopper. That gown is so gorgeous and I love the asymmetrical bust line, ivory color, and embroidery. Very very classy but modern all at the same time! I hope it fits well. If it doesn''t at least you didn''t break the bank on it and you can probably re-sell it if you want on preownedweddingdresses.com or back on e-bay.

I"m probably going to do the same type of deal...i can''t stand to spend a bunch of money on a dress that i''m only going to wear once, but i do want to own it for a handme down possiblity for my children (as my mom borrowed her wedding dress, otherwise i would have loved to wear hers).
