Very Special Anniversary on Saturday

No, it''s not OUR anniversary (that''s in June), but this Saturday marks 3 years cancer free for Kris. I just wanted to tell someone how blessed I feel to have him in my life and I figured who better than the wonderful LIWs (especially since he doesn''t like most people IRL to know that he had cancer).

I''m planning on taking him out to celebrate--he certainly deserves it!

If that isn''t a reason to celebrate, I don''t think there is one! Cancer is horrible from a distance, I can''t imagine dealing with it so close to home, so for this, I commend you. He is lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive woman by his side.

You know, I have a friend who is a survivor from Stage 4 brain and lung cancer and I wish more people would share their stories as survivors because I think it brings so much hope to those who are trying to cope with similar situations. Wow really! That''s amazing! My aunt has lung cancer and when we found out over a year ago we thought it was her death sentence. She has been doing extremely well. You would never know she had anything wrong with her as she goes about life as she always did. I really think technology is progressing in these areas.

Thank you so much, everyone! I am so touched by all the responses! We had a nice evening in (per his request)--opened a nice bottle of wine and spent a lot of time just snuggling.

PS is such a wonderful place, not only for support when things are tough, but for sharing joy when things are great! You all rock!
