Meresal ~ I finally took pictures of the CLs that I had Vibram soles put on. I wore these to my shower a couple weeks ago so please excuse the dirt on them. They are the 1mm Vibram soles and I got them from the ebay seller Panrixx. He is super nice and shipped it really fast from the UK. The red matches really well. I have included a picture with the flash, without and a pic to see how thin they are when looking at them from the side. I made sure to let my cobbler know that I didn't want the signature covered up even though he said I should have the Vibrams lower down for some reason that I can't remember right now. He did a great job and I will probably be getting my wedding shoes done once the red starts wearing off. The red on these was pretty much off the majority of the sole b/c I got them used off of ebay. If you have any questions just let me know!! :)

With flash:

ETA: The color is better represented in this picture than the rest. I should have taken them all with the flash but oh well!

Thats cool, what do you mean about the red rubbing off???

The red on the original soles rubs off with wear.

OK, thats what I thought you were referring to. Thanks!

i guess I missed the original thread...can I ask why you did this? sorry, that sounds harsh...I''m just curious. is it to make them more comfortable or b/c the red wears off or to just re-sole them? or some other reason? THanks!

p.s. they look reallly good...your shoe person did a great job!

Thanks! I mostly did this b/c the red was worn off and so the sole was wearing thin. Some people get this done as soon as they get their shoes so that their soles last longer. It''s just a personal preference. I just figured that if I am paying a decent amount of $$ for shoes, I want them to last as long as possible and if that means that I have to get them resoled and voila! they are like new again, then that is what I will do. It''s definitely a lot cheaper than getting new ones! Also, Meresal had mentioned having this done to her wedding shoes and I promised pictures once I got mine done.

I love the idea of red soles on wedding shoes.....I want to see pics!! Anyone?
