It was a hard decision but I have decided to let go of these two vivid red spinels. The one on the left is from Vietnam and the one on the right is from Burma. I will post a LT listing tomorrow.
Vietnam pink-red spinel 1.16ct/6.4x4.6 x4.8mm $395
This one is eye clean with a small internal crack near one end that doesn’t reach the surface and a tiny surface inclusion that isn’t visible. The color is an amazing, sparkling, vivid red. It’s brilliant and fluorescent and incredibly glowy. It leans ever so slightly pink but is red. It’s cut deep and has a high crown so it has amazing color and light return.
Burma pink-red vivid spinel 0.99ct/5.9x4.5x4.1 $675
This one is a pinkish-red or reddish-pink with maybe a touch of purple depending on the light. It’s eye clean, very pretty and sparkly and very well cut with nice depth. UV fluorescent. I have a basic cert for this one.
